Quicksilver Industries: 'Nighthawk' SMG
17.5K Views|1 Today
© 2014 - 2019 Shockwave9001
Quicksilver Industries went completely overboard and developed a submachine gun around our latest experimental cartridge: the Caseless 5.7mm RIP Round. The ejection port is only used when making the gun safe or clearing a dud round. (which obviously won't happen, ever.)

Integrated in the handguard is a battery compartment to provide power to both the flashlight under the barrel and the laser aiming module located above the barrel. On the side of the handguard is a battery life indicator. Rotate the flashlight 90° to the right to turn it on.

Quicksilver Ind. produces top of the notch firearms made for easy and cheap mass production, while maintaining very high quality. Our firearms will always be fully ambidextrous, two toned, operator-friendly and accessory-friendly.

I’m glad you like them!
I can definitely see progress! Right now my only concerns are how insanely skeletal they are, and the rather obnoxious watermark. But you’re well on your way, keep at it ^^

If that was a real life weapon, a long range scope and a high caliber might convert this into a mini sniper rifle.:imsmart:

Perfect, keep it up!

After the super-complicated Greyhound, it's time for something easier and quicker. Modeling this one here was a breeze. Geometry is almost finished, no texturing yet:

The red-dot is just a placeholder for now, and iron sights were copied from Sunda. As always, I'm confused about these. Are they still Diamondhead products, or your own variation of them? Base of the front post looks reversed, and there are those red tritium lights on them??... If so, what should be the configuration of these red lights?

Oh, sweet!! As for the iron sights, just go with the standard DiamondHeads. And as for the rest, the only thing off is the handguard. Right now it looks like it's one piece with the receiver, but they're actually separate. It's a modified MP5 handguard, so there's your reference image ;)

OK, I must admit I have no idea how to solve this handguard... I mean, I googled MP-5 but your design is different enough that I can't relate one to another. Got this much for now...

Akimbo this, and you're cheap.

Just kidding! This thing reminds me of the FMG9. (Just trying out an MW3 reference, mind you!)

Well, for starters, you should upload something here on DeviantArt, so I can give you feedback ;-)

Second, you can add me on Facebook if you'd like. I'd be more than happy to share my wisdom, haha!

You can check out some of my creations on my Google+ page. As for your Facebook, I'll definitely check it out. Thanks a bunch.

I'm a bit new to the whole DeviantArt thing, so I'm not entirely sure how to upload here. That and I lost a few of my designs after a hard drive burnout... But yeah, I'll see what I can do.

First, I'd advice you to play around with some color. As you might know, you can add custom color coded in PMG. They can add a lot to your design.
Second, I'd say try to focus on the gun itself, less on the attachments. Attachments are not your priority.

Caseless 5.7 RIP? Listen, Shockwave, your designs are better than what I could ever hope to make in PMG, but a Caseless 5.7 RIP is a combination of three failures (Okay, maybe caseless is not that horrid, but you get the point).

Hey now, 5.7 isn't a bad round at all. And caseless could've been really something if they didn't abandon the research and development of it.
And last, the RIP may not be as amazing as they advertised it, but the idea behind it is pretty interesting. And you've got to admit, it's path of destruction looks brutal.

But besides all this, the design of the weapon doesn't suffer from the round I've chosen it to use, does it?

No, the weapon's gorgeous.

Nevertheless, 5.7 is a real waste of potential (I'm serious, it could've been much more powerful and I know just how to do that), and caseless still needs a lot of work regarding heat and pressure.

Would you recommend this as a personal defense rifle or as a fast assault weapon for quickly dispatching targets? In any case, this weapon is a beauty. I love how "cross-bred" your designs can be. This one in particular reminds me of an OTS-33 and an MP7. The handle grip is quite intriguing in how the magazine sticks out pretty far from the handle (like a pp2000 magazine) but angles like a pistol grip. The stock also looks like it's tanking inspiration from a collapsible ACR stock?
