When it comes to stealthy close quarters combat, there simply isn't an equivalent to the Aardwolf Personal Defense Weapon. Chambered in subsonic .300 BLACKOUT, this silent-as-the-night bullpup PDW features a smooth and ergonomic design combined with our latest internal suppressor. The Aardwolf comes standard with a 20 round magazine, QSI's trusted red dot sight, and our top of the line diamond-shaped back up iron sights.

The Aardwolf Designated Marksman Rifle is designed for counter sniper measures. It’s also a complete weapon system. With a 10 round 7.62x51mm magazine, QSI's ShortDot Scope, a back up red dot sight on a 45° angled mount, and full auto capability, it’s ready for all situations.

Quicksilver Ind. produces top of the notch firearms made for easy and cheap mass production, while maintaining very high quality. Our firearms will always be fully ambidextrous, two toned, operator-friendly and accessory-friendly.

Yours truly,
~ Shockwave

That's... that's just awesome!

2 questions btw; Is that really made with PMG? if it is, how do you manage to get that high quality? My guns look awful when I screenshot them

Thanks a lot, my friend.
And yes, it's 100% PMG. The trick is to zoom in to around 300%, and screenshot in parts. Then you stitch those screenshots together into one large image.

In the past, the save as jpg button worked, and that was the easiest and best way. But due to a flash update about a year ago the button stopped working.

So, I'm back from the adventures, at least for now, and I'm slowly getting back to art stuff. (Slowly, because my girlfriend is here for her winter break, and so I'm busy. ;) ) 'Aardwolf' was started right after 'Sunda' was finished, and now is done in at least 50%.

The lateral dimensions are obviously not specified in side view, so it is always a bit of challenge to make them work together. And the complex grip & trigger guard gave me more trouble than the rest of the gun. :p Now some questions.

-What's that red-tipped thingy right under the muzzle? Can't figure out how should it look.
-Any reference pictures of the scope mount? (scope itself should be fairly easy, but specific reference wouldn't hurt, if there's any - Google search for ShortDot returns quite a few different ones)
-Same for the angled red dot, is it based on any one real model?

Nice hearing from you again! How have you been?
To answer your questions, the red thing is a little laser aiming device. I forgot to add an on/off button for it, but whatever. The scope and scope mount aren't really different from existing ones. Any reference image should do.
If I remember correctly, I modelled it after the JPoint Mini Red Dot.
Could I see a work in progress? I'd love that!

How have I been - well, not bad, thanks! The job was easy but surprisingly well paid. The only big inconvenience were long commuting times, we were working in different place every day, and sometimes as far as +200 km from our living quarters. Sometimes next to the Dutch border too. ;) And the quarters themselves being quite 'spartan'. And I don't know if you know, how extremely rowdy our people are! :D Which was bit of inconvenience too, as I'm not that much into getting boozed as hell, and then fighting. ;p

The worst thing though was difficult contact with my girl. She's from Sweden and doing her school there now. Normally we spend lots of time on Skype, but in Germany there was no easy accessible network connection anywhere. At least, I've found this 'net-cafe' thing in the area.

And now, she had a month long winter break. So we spent it happily, at my place this time. ;)

Now about the model. Geometry is largely done (75-80%), only small parts remain. It should also go quick with the materials, those for 'Sunda' were made with re-usability in mind. Here I just need to make two more, aside from reusing existing ones with different colors.

There will be hardly any other WIP than this:

It's not very long to go from this state to finished one. And besides, I have a feeling that last time the WIPs took over too much public attention compared to finished product. ;)

I feel you there. That's pretty much exactly why I almost never post WIPs. I only show them to a select few. So far your WIP looks great! It all flows really well, and as usual it's great to see it come to life!

Also your winter break sounds really nice :)

Honestly I'm not a fan of the grippod though.

Just this particular type (looks simplistic indeed), or grippods in general?

I mean any attachment on the lower rails. I kept them off on purpose, because I thought it kills the aesthetics.
However, it's your rendition, so it's your choice.
