Art In Embassies program

Art In Embassies program

I was asked to participate in the US State Department's Art In Embassies program, which exhibits American art in U.S. embassies all over the world. My piece "Willow" is now on display in the embassy in Bern, Switzerland alongside some very impressive company.

It is fun to see science and art melt together. My scientific stuff never looked that beautiful, which is why I used to run a fractal-rendering program after work. :) I am trying to create digitally lichtemberg figures as they are a special type of fractals. So far I have not seen it in the random creations.

Awesome work here- love it. Did you use to work at the SciTech museum in Aurora? I think we worked together there in 96-97.

Hi Ray. Yes, that was me!
Hi Todd! I'm Alice, founder of an art and design site called My Modern Met. We get about 2 million visitors a month. I'd like to reach out to you to see if you might be interested in answering a few questions about your art. I can send them to you via email. Please email me at if you're interested. Thanks!
these are very cool. do you get to use the accelerators at fermilab to make these?

Unfortunately I can't use the accelerators at Fermilab for this, for a couple reasons. Most of them produce proton beams rather than electron beams, energies are typically too high, and also there's really no procedure to get time on them for personal use.
Wow you've really morphed into some fun stuff Todd! Send Mary Lynn my's been yeeeeears since I've seen you and hope that it will not be yeeeeeeears before I see you again! Curious how this morning I happened to think of you 2 when I ran across the word Bandersnatch in a novel I am currently reading by Dean Koontz.~~~Maryjo Wiggen (Maki)
