He will then proceed to say someone is impersonating YOU and send you a bad link.
DO NOT CLICK! It's a virus/cookie grabber!
Please BLOCK and REPORT! Let’s take DeviantArt back from scammers!
He does NOT want to pay you $500 — or any amount — for art, rights, or to avoid a lawsuit.

💬 How the scam works:
Fake contact/project: Scammer reaches out about a “commission” or “job.”
Payment by check: They claim they’ll send a check.
Mobile deposit: They ask you to deposit it using your banking app.
Refund request: They ask you to send part of the money back for “project costs.”
Check bounces: The bank later rejects the check.
You’re responsible: You owe the full amount.
Report it!
