Out of Reach

First painting of 2021! Can't wait to see how I improve this year! The result of my artistic foray yesterday, the full piece. Did the elephant eye yesterday as practice for elephant skin and color palette ideas, then did this one today in about 3 hours. Super fun! A glowing elephant basks in the sun while sporadic showers fall from the sky. 

I love cool colors, I'd love to learn how to create more realistic looking animals while keeping unique color palettes, so far a good start! I'm loving the improvement I'm seeing in my work.
