WELCOME to the EMPIRE

Welcome to Shivali-Empire! Shi'vali Empire is a Foo Lion ARPG focused on character building and gameplay. We are the home to a closed species called Shi'vali, all whom live in the world of Shimora. Our vast world has a plethora of activities and surprises in store for its members.

FOR STARTERS, WHAT ARE THESE PRECIOUS FOO LIONS?

The Shi'vali are grand and proud creatures that inhabit all the lands the empire encompasses, and while for a time, they were viewed as vicious, feral beasts- they eventually were tamed, and brought into the folds of the empire's will. Their domestication was a slow and tedious process, as they wereand still arequite stubborn and willful to their riders and any who would attempt to become a handler. Though their loyalty, once acquired, is fathomless. The art of actually riding one of these creatures is akin to that of trying to ride a predatory ostrich- their sloping backs and loping gait making it rather difficult to find proper seating on their streamlined bodiesespecially when they reach a full sprintand even more so when they leap upon their prey. Bridles are out of the question as their tusks quickly shred through any leather placed in their jaw, and can be damaged by the intrusion of metal. The many Shi'vali that sport thick manes make them another difficulty.

Feel free to explore the group and get to know how things work, ARPGs can be confusing! However, with time you will find they are quite simple to understand. It's important to be patient and understanding while finding your footing. We will link and explain some different areas of the group below to help get you started.

Group Rulebook (Click)

Please make yourself familiar with the groups rules before continuing forward.

SHIVALI DISCORD

Feel free to join our group chat, we encourage you to make friends and participate in the group. Although keep in mind there is no requirements to meet nor do you have to partake in any group functions. This means you're free to partake or just keep your Shis for your own personal use. SHI'VALI DISCORD CHAT (ALL AGES)

HOW CAN I OBTAIN A SHI'VALI?

For starters, please make note that Shivali-Empire is a closed ARPG (Art Roleplay Group). You may not make your own Shi'vali for free, however there are a few ways for you to obtain your own that abide by group rules. **Please note that making your own Shivali or using the base in any way that would abuse the groups rules or otherwise break any rules will result in serious consequences, please respect the group and what it has to offer its players.

CUB CENTER

The cub adoption center is by far the easiest way for new members to obtain their very first Shi'vali, please click on the link provided for more details.

TRADE/PURCHASE

Players may also adopt a Shi'vali from a fellow group member, you can locate their sales/trades by visiting the groups official Advertisement folder.

ROGUE BONDING

Rogue Shi'vali are fierce and noble creatures that can be tamed by your rider in what's known as Rogue Bonding. Please be mindful that there is not always a rogue available to bond with, keep checking back if that's the case.

SEMI-CUSTOMS/SLOT SALES

Semi-Customs or Slot sales hosted by Kissing (Please note that should no such sale be offered by Kissing they are currently not available.)

BREEDING

Please refer to the breeding guide to learn more about how it works.

WHAT DO I DO WITH MY SHI'VALI?

Helpful guides: GENETICS and MUTATIONSSHI'VALI IMPORTS
There are lots of ways to get involved- here's a few places to get you started!

GENOTYPE

If you purchased/obtained a Shi'vali geno you now need to have it designed to group standards. Shi'vali have a specific genotype string that tells a story. The visual design must match the markings present in your genotype. Members may design their Shi'vali on their own or request help/commission another member to design it for them.
> When you upload the finished design of your genotype to your sta.sh, you must fill out our Import Information using our premade template.
> Please note that you need to save the comment that states you now own the geno, this will be your proof that the genotype belongs solely to you.

UPLOADED SHI'VALI

If you purchased an uploaded Shi'vali, be sure the ownership transfer is in progress. Players can check the import updates and ownership transfer monthly journal to do so (find it at Shivali-Lorekeeper). Once an admin has completed the transfer request, the Shi'vali is yours and you may begin playing!

DESIGN APPROVAL SUBMISSION

Upload your completed Shi'vali image in your personal sta.sh on Deviantart. Be sure it is not resized from its original dimensions, and in .PNG format so that it receives a good visual quality, JPEGs tend to add a fuzzy blur to the image which can distort colors and land you in corrections.  Please also fill out and include the Import Information template.
While we understand designing Shi'vali may be confusing and even overwhelming, we ask you to be courteous to our staff during the approval process. We want to accept your designs just as much as you want your design accepted! Feel free to inquire on additional help if you hit corrections and are left confused. We are here to help in any way we can! Once you have down the following steps, please relocate to the group's front page and navigate to the 'Design Approvals' journal. This is where you will submit your Shi'vali to be looked over by a design approval admin. If your design meets the guide requirements to your specific genotype, your Shi'vali will be uploaded and assigned an official import number. If you design has marking or text errors and needs to be corrected, you will be notified and it will be sent to a corrections thread in the same journal! The design admins will give you detailed explanations as to what is wrong so that you can find and fix the issue easily. You will be able to fix any errors shown and resubmit your corrected design for approval in the comment link that an admin provides. If you have any questions about a correction that was given to you, feel free to message the head of design, xRedwing.

    CEREMONY OF UNITY

These are the rites that earn your Shi'vali it's Trained status, which open up the ability for your Shi'vali to Breed and join group-sanctioned events, such as the Underground Arena.

    ACTIVITIES

These three activities are often dubbed "H/F/T", and offer the ability to do things like bring back loot to redeem for currency, discover companions to pair with your Shi'vali, and more! Read up on the Activities Guide to learn more.

    EMPIRE POINTS (EP)

Empire points are an important factor in understanding how Shi'vali move up in Imperial Status. These are points that add up when your Shi'vali is drawn or written. Obtaining more points gives more benefits, such as extra breeding slots, increased chances for obtaining better loot, dealing more damage to NPCs, etc. Not to be confused with Jining, which is the groups currency.

    IMPERIAL VAULT (BANK)

Guarded by Imperial sanctioned feral Shi'valideep within the capital of Zhoushau in Khanblauis where people come to deposit their goods whether it be the coin of our people called "Jining", or hides from a successful hunting trip. This is where you can come and deposit your wealth or trade in/purchase items. If you haven't done so yet, you can have your very own Vault opened by going to our front page, and finding "Imperial Vault" under the section "Activities".

    JINING (IN-GAME CURRENCY)

Jining is a currency used in within the group, you can obtain this currency by participating in the groups many activities.

    Members can obtain Jining by:
Participate in group events, quests, etc.
Submit activity images in the form of HUNTING & FISHING & TRAVERSING
Donate unwanted Shi Cubs to the SHI'VALI CUB CENTER
TIP: Be sure to redeem credit items in the Imperial Vault- You can recap prices using the Bazaar.

Hello! If you're looking to sell the geno (as long as it is not an adopted cub), you can still create a sales journal and submit it to the group. If you wish to keep him, I suggest holding onto him and waiting to get him designed until the group reopens!

You may also wait for the group to reopen if you wish to donate him to the adoption center.

Hope this helps!

How long does it take for someone to clarify that you get to have your cub? I have already filled out a form for the cub center and I'm still waiting for the approval

Here's probably a dumb question:

Do the babies have to stay within in-game universe, or am I free to insert them into my own?

I've got a question concerning Rag'orans and I apologize if it's stupid but I haven't found anything explicitly about it yet: can Rag'orans fly? I know in their import files and this size ref "Shi'Vali Respective Heights" they're illustrated off the ground - so would it be safe to assume it's implied that they fly as they're closer to dragons than their smaller ground-bound cousins?

Oh awesomeness!!!
Is there a specific registration process for the handler as well? A reference sheet created by the group or a certain submission process?

What would the Shi'vali gang and home be called?  A group of Shi'vali. ..like a tribe.
Horses have stables so what do the Shi'vali have?

A group of Shi'vali are called a pride. They may be kept in a stable, den, or breeding establishments may be called a cattery

So I'm fairly confused on what else EP is useful for aside from getting to Imperial Status. Once you reach that, what else is EP good for? I keep seeing "more benefits, such as extra breeding slots, better chances for obtaining better loot, dealing more damage to NPCs, etc."

But other than that I can't find the information for these 'more benefits'?
Or is it just the benefits that you get from rising to Imperial, and that's it? After that, then what? ;o; Does EP become useless for that Shi? I've searched and searched and have only found the one EP guide page and nothing else. Please help to enlighten a confused ole' lady.

Additional EP after imperial earns bonus breeding slots, and reaching imperial status also gives access to a whole new activity exclusive to Imperial shi-it's still a work in progress, there also are other benefits in the works as well!

I have an import that needs to be submitted for approval. The journal says to just follow the steps provided, but I see no steps or journal about submitting. Am I just missing it?
