Autumn

Journal Entry: Tue Sep 10, 2013, 1:34 PM
Herbstzeitlose by Shiranui

I just saw the first meadow saffron this year so it means - autumn is officially here. To match that the weather turned cold and ugly. But I'm still glad and happy, because Bak and me are hiking again.

I really missed my and our time in the woods dearly. I just couldn't go without him. He always is loyal to me, so I am loyal to him too. ^^

And I love the cool and cold seasons too. Hot chocolate and tea time!

Xray by Shiranui

Not fully healed but on a good way. We still need to go easy but at least everything seems fine so far. No complications and fine healing.

Phew! We had some tough days and weeks. But now we can enjoy summer at least a bit more relaxed.

Thanks for all the kind words!!!!

It's been a bad day....

Journal Entry: Mon May 27, 2013, 1:51 PM
... keep your fingers crossed for my poor little boy. He broke his left leg today, VERY bad. I pray that he will somehow forgive me to leave him alone in a sterile veterinary hospital far away from home and that he will survive tomorrows op fine.

I already miss him so much...

Daily routine hit me hard!

Journal Entry: Sun Mar 24, 2013, 12:37 PM
Business as usual! There just was this itsy-bitsy special.
We had to deal with something really nasty at work. I tell you, sometimes we totally have to work VERY hard for our money :grump:.

Well, I hope at least spring will not be too shy and finally show itself fully (though there isn't any snow around anymore.. guess that's a huge improvement). I can't wait to climb the next mountain... And I'm sure Bak can't wait too.

Wish you all lots of sunshine and a happy spring!

Energy!

Journal Entry: Sat Mar 2, 2013, 2:06 PM
I had such a wonderful week with a lovely friend of mine and I feel lonely right now (to bid farewell is horrible! :cries: ). BUT I also feel full of energy and happyness, thanks to a very relaxing week and company.

I'm sad that we live so far apart but I'm also very thankful that the internet brought us together. <3

Life's good!

Why is it so hard?

Thu Jan 31, 2013, 11:27 AM
I will now whine about a very silly 'problem' which is annoying me VERY badly today.

Why is it SO damn hard to find some pretty cottage furniture that's actually affordable?! I went to two huge home-centers and one had nothing pretty and one had the perfect two pieces I wanted but... oh damn you, mammon.

Don't you love it when you waste a whole lovely free day with nothing in hand in the end?

I'm home!

Journal Entry: Fri Oct 19, 2012, 12:16 PM

Yes, I'm home again!
I did some renovation work at my 'new' appartement (actually it's still in the same house) and for at least four weeks I hadn't really a 'home'. I had to switch between my parent's new house and my appartement (it was especially hard for Bak though - poor boy).

I got my new furniture yesterday and I still need this and that but I'm home and feel nice and comfy again. YAY!

So today I enjoyed my last free day and spent it in shops, in the woods and in my awesome home. Perfect :aww:!

... :sing:

Brrr, it's so cold. So I guess today is the day to say good bye to summer and hello to autumn. I saw some meadow saffrons lately... which make it official too :) .

I'm sorry for being not really active anymore. Life is just more important lately. I started renovating my 'new' appartement and I can't wait to see the finished result. And that's it actually, not more to tell.

I hope you all are well and happy!

Marilyn, Moving and Holidays

Journal Entry: Mon Jun 25, 2012, 1:09 PM
I now have my 4 (yep FOUR) weeks off.

My holidays started yesterday with a Marilyn Manson concert (and in the frist row too). So it was a seriously awesome start :excited: .

To be honest... I really, really need this time off. I was at my limit lately and after working 2 years without some real holidays I'm so happy about all the sleep and joy and time out in the nature I get now.

I maybe will use all the free time to move to my new appartement too. I will have to renovate it but it's still very exciting.

So I hope you all are able to enjoy the summer it's fullest too

Taggadytag

Journal Entry: Tue Apr 3, 2012, 11:53 AM
ginkgografix got me! It took some time (since I just had none of that very valuable property.. at least not for private things XD). But I had fun with it!

Rules:
1) You must post these rules in your Journal (VERY VERY IMPORTANT!)
2) Answer the questions the Tagger has set for you in their post, and create 10 new questions for the people you tag to answer!
3) You have to choose 8 people to tag and post their Icons in your journal!
4) Go to their page and tell them you have tagged him/her!
5) NO TAG BACKS!

1. If you won a trip to anywhere in the world and you could take one person and 5 things with you. Where would you go, who would you take with you and what things would you pick?

~ To the Caribbean with my best friend Tamara and I'd take my Canon, a book, my travel diary,  sunscreen aaaand a backpack with me.

2. Most disgusting food for you?

~ Gorgonzola! Ewww bah bläh!

3. One thing you always wanted to give a try but had no time for so far? (hobby, sport, etc)

~ Skydiving! I promised myself that I'd do it (or gift myself with it) after I got my general diploma. I still hadn't the chance to do it though :depressed:

4. You wake up in your bed and have a person you never saw before next to you, what would you do?

~ I'd scream 'Holy, my horoscope was damn right about me finding my dreamboat today' - if the stranger would be a pretty, yummy man.
~ And 'Bak honey, it's your duty to defend your master, you know? That includes to not let strangers into my bed!' - I'd just have to tell that my dog (who's sleeping next to my bed actually) :D

5. Do you like the name that was given to you by your parents? If not, what name would you prefer?

~ Absolutely, Pia is short and... I think it's just the right name for me ^^ .

6. One bad habit of yours that regulary annoys people?

~ Me laughing too loud (esp. in the morning and after night shift when I get to my manic stage).

7. If a pink unicorn would cross your way right now, what would you do?

~ Throw away my doobie :giggle:.
~ ...
~ No no no, don't worry, I don't even (and never did) smoke.

8. What animal would you choose if you could have any as a pet?

~ Ever since I was a child I wanted a tiger *-* .

9. You discover that there is a hole in your sock, do you replace it or will go on wearing it for the rest of the day?

~ I replace it. I feel uncomfortable with holes in any clothing :D .

10. Answer with the first thing that comes to your mind when reading: banana!

~ ... will be my meal tomorrow. I don't really like to eat at the canteen at work so I take a bit food with me :meow:.

No tags for me.. at least for now :evillaugh:.

Irony

Journal Entry: Wed Feb 29, 2012, 12:38 PM
... is funny sometimes.

"Irony is a rhetorical device, literary technique, or situation in which there is a sharp incongruity or discordance that goes beyond the simple and evident intention of words or actions"

A few days ago I had an advanced training about (summarized) how to criticize the right way (it's part of a student mentoring training). So the whole day was about how to phrase bad things  on a constructive and acceptable way and to value your vis-à-vis.

So far - so nice - so exhausting.

In the evening I got a call from a team mate. Telling me that just today our big cheese declared our team as not working fine and not good enough and too lazy and what not. It's just that we all are at our limit now and have had a hard time since several month. As much as value and constructive criticism.

I don't know... it just made me laugh somehow. And I just had to get this off my chest for today.

Well, to the good news. I'm really very excited about my new lens - Tamron 18-270 mm ! Can't wait to use it *-* !!!

What a start...

Thu Jan 5, 2012, 10:26 AM
So the new year already started... well... meagre I guess. I really had some horribly stressful days at work (not that that would be something new.. it just was more then usual), a pretty plant I just got died without me noticing (until today), there was a thunderstorm today (it's WINTER for gods sake), a few days ago a dog nearly ran into my car (seriously, he just ducked his head or else... BAM) and TODAY a dog actually did BAM into my car. It wasn't my fault (both times)... but it's still horrible and shocking (the dog is fine though, I was able to brake in time to reduce the clash). Especially when your own dog sits right in your car and.. wha, I don't know. Just had some not so nice days.

So I  just hope that it will get better now and I also hope you guys had a better start...

I'm not online alot, still. And I really have trouble to find a christmas present for my brother. Why I think about it this early? Because my idea was to get a shirt design for his hobby longboard-business (www.icone.at) which would surprise him to no end I think :aww:.
So I'm searching for someone capable and willing to draw this commission. I have to admit that this is harder than I thought. First of all I don't have much time to search and I kind of have a REALLY hard time to actually find people that draw skate/tattoo style, not to mention take commissions (that I can afford).

As reference, this is an actual shirt design they already use - www.longboardday.com/cms/files… - I'm searching for a smilar (not the same, just similar) style.

Do you know any good tattoo or whatever artist that is willing to take commissions?

I'm searching on my own but I think asking woun't hurt, right? And maybe someone of you knows someone :giggle:.

Thanks! ya

PS: Have to get used to not have a subscribed account :depressed:. Since I'm not really online at the moment it's worthless to spend money just for some little goodies. But still... meh -_- .

Long time...

Sun Aug 28, 2011, 1:29 AM

.. no see!

Phew, had to work a lot the last few weeks.. as so often in holiday-season. But now it's MY time for holidays! 15 days pure freedom :excited:.

Well, at the moment I'm not very productive. I just enjoy to read, relax and go for nice long walks with Bak. That's simple but very pleasing ^^ . I'm looking forward to meet some friends and taking lots of pics of Bak, nature and my friends' adorable babies :giggle:.

The sun is shinin', my mood's sweet :sun: !

Of horrible and creepy things...

Sat Jun 25, 2011, 9:32 AM

Ok, that's the last time I'll edit this journal, I promise. But today something REALLY creepy happened I just have to tell.

Watching (parts of) Dragonball Evolution right now (TV is evil!!!!). Gosh, that h-u-r-t-s!!! Sometimes you just shouldn't do something you actually have KNOWN beforehand that it will be bad for you. >_<

DragonBall Evolution FAILstamp by Dbzbabe

*edit* As if Dragonball Evolution wasn't creepy enough... something SERIOUSLY creepy happened today.  We went hiking around 8 a.m. (since it's sunday there were absolutely no people around at this time). Around half of our route (in the middle of a forrest) there suddenly was this guy, like 20 m behind us. When we stopped, he did too, when we walked, he did too. My dad confessed that he actually noticed this man some time before... So ok, theory of my mom was that he just was afraid of Bak (my dog). Theory of me was that he was a psychopath, ready to kill us :fear:. If you ask me, theory #2 is SO  much more plausible, really! Why? Because when I once stopped and turned around he stopped too (as I said before), just stared blanky for some time and finally put his palms on his face (doing the gesture you would do playing with a Baby hide and seek). That - freaked - me - out!
Ok, there was my not so weak looking and actually passionately in his freetime lumberjack dad and my dark and not so small dog who actually would defend me with his life if he had to. But still, how spine-chilling is that? At least it wasn't at night and I wasn't alone :O_o: .
