Through Their Eyes - Wolf Poem - Jassa Rae

The wolf is my Favorite animal and ever since I can remember I have always felt a connection with them. This is a powerful piece from a wolf's view on his "lost brother" who is Man.

I wrote this with feelings from the wolf's perspective.
I'm sending this poem out to any Programs / Campaigns who are defending the wolves in hopes to hopefully open someones eyes or reach them in some way.

I have been here before you man
Watching the Gods begin their Divine Plan.
Eyes kept open wide,
Never letting trivial details slide.

I have stayed silent before you man
Not in this form but within another
Though you hunt us we are from the same mother
Bound by a universal blood
Your mind has grown thick with mud.

I have feasted before you man
Invisible boundaries which now keep us
A curse-twisted, by wars which meet us.

Once recall our pack did greet you
The Plains yet break from civic blood que
I ask you now, through a fearless lament
Why we fight - gun and teeth
Or with blinded scent.

Labeled us the "The Big & Bad"
Though we hold no Wanted Ad
A trigger pulled with no intent
Our numbers few, are you content?

To leave this Earth with time well spent,
Is what is asked - not slow torment.

My howls do echo far and wide,
For the missing Alpha by my side.
