Does This Make You Happy?

Kung Fu Panda is one of my all time favorite animated films. But I also liked the bonus disc that came with the movie; 'Secrets of the Furious Five.' The one thing I did not like soe much about the original movie is how the Furious Five didn't get as many lines or character development as Po and Shifu. So this bonus movie 'Secrets of the furious Five' helped stretch their stories out further and actually give them some background.

One of my favorites was 'Master Viper's' back story. Her father, Grand Master Viper happens to be one of the coolest snake designs I've seen in a while. The patterns of his body were cool enough; but it was those bushy eyebrows and whiskers that made him even cooler. The story said that legends claimed that the Viper clan descended from Might Dragons. Indeed with the brows and whiskers I can see that.

young Master Viper was also very cute as far as snakes go. She had no fangs like her father so that didn't please him very much. So she decides to take up ribbon dancing to make him him happy. It sort of works at first; but later when Grand Master Viper finally faces an unmovable force; Little Viper finally uses her talents and shows her fathers that with or without fangs and venom; courage is more potent.

I really wanted to draw Grand Master Viper but at the same time I felt Young Master Viper should be in the pic too. Here she is entertaining her father with her ribbon dance. He seems pretty happy I suppose. This is before that fateful night, so his fangs are still intact.

I'm pretty pleased with this. All done digitally and the textures actually came out quite well. I had done this last weekend nearly forgot to upload it. O.o
