I think any description is redundant. The photo explains everything. Enjoy it and let me know if you used it and if it was useful!

Thank you so much for posting this! I used it when I was making frills for my Chi cosplay. It was very helpful! 😉

Is there any way you could use this for a more jagged edge on a dress? I'm trying to do a dress that has a similar shape to your dress, but instead of frills, it's a more jagged edge. If you would like a reference photo, I could show you one. I would appreciate any tips you may be able to give me! Thank you!

Can I translate your tutorial in fr ? (Herm, I already do it for me and my friends, but I prefer to ask you before posting the text en our forum...) I didn't post the photos, so I just put text below the link of this page ^^

Thank you so much for sharing this tutorial !

I get a problem although, for understanding one expression : 'Diferential feed' what do you mean by that ?

Sure you can translate it! Actually... can you please send me the translated text and I will redo the tutorial in French and credit you for the translation. What do you say? Also, differential feed is... hm, how can I explain... I don't know about others, but my serger can actually be set on different steps when working with stretchy fabrics or the thin ones that actually gather when are sewn. With a stretchy fabric you can stop it from stretching because it gathers it and when a fabric gathers while being sewn it stretches it (I really hope I made sense!). So, as I want to sew a piece of fabric that has a round shape, that one will stretch for sure when being sewn. But in stead of using the option to gather the fabric, I stretch it even more; this is usually an unwanted result when sewing a regular dress or anything that is supposed to be straight, but having frillier frills is good, right? so... yeah... that's the differential feed :P I sure hope it made sense!

The idea of making frills without gathering almost makes me want to cry out of happiness. Thank you for this! :D

Oh, you're welcome, but it's not my idea... It's highly used in haute couture, I think. It looks more elegant than the gathered frills... I just noticed it's not so used among cosplayers, so ... I made this tutorial!
