Ah! How cute! I remember when I took my budgie outside once when his wings were clipped (shortly after we got him). He was terrified of the grass, he didn't like the feel of it I guess. I suppose you have an outdoor aviary for your budgies?

Actually no. The birds go out and I set them down and let them go. You just gotta give them time to get used to it. Trust me, grass is nothing when you do rocks or asphualt

Hmm...my birds have all been very tame, but they get spooked so easily since we live in a city. We were always afraid to take them outside with out their cages, much less have a door left open. I assume yours come to you when you call them? What if they didn't come back o_o. That's what I'd be scared of, I love my baby too much D:!

Nope, not a single word. The best option is to just be in a safe area and let them enjoy the time, and keep an eye on them constantly. I feel like a cowboy cause i have to round them up when they are all running around in the grass

Haha! That's cute. Well then I guess we should be safe. My budgie comes to us when we whistle or make kissy noises to him. It's as if he knows his name too! :D

My best girl knows when I'm calling her, she doesn't know to come to me but she knowns when I call her by her registered name I'm not happy. Each one of those keets has their own personality, and none of them allow contact by choice. But they do allow me to pick them up and protect them when they get scared. And that makes me feel really great when they run up to you and jump on to your lap cause they know you'll protect them

Aww. How sweet, mine dug himself into my hoodie sleeves when he was scared, but that was when he was younger. Budgies are so wonderful ^^.

My bird actually likes hanging out in my sleeve or pocket all the time, no fear involved. One of my baby keets still loves to be coddled, he gets held all the time.
