Winter Path

Taken a couple of years ago in the south of England. I landed in the country the night before, and shortly after it snowed down hard. I'd never seen snow fall before, and tired as I was I felt a spark of wonder ignite - one which would continue to grow. I walked this path past sheep with thick woolly coats and shetland ponies. Each step I took crunched slightly underneath. I remember it being cold on my nose and cheeks, but rugged up it couldn't touch me. The spark I felt kept me warm, and years later, it still burns me with a warm, comforting touch.
