Urvanian Union Mech

Not the most exciting mech design, but I have this publicly posted on my Patreon, so thought I'd post it here too.

This mech was in service with Urvanian Union forces while they defended themselves against revolutionaries.
Several configurations are available, but this particular unit is armed with a cannon in one arm, and anti armor missiles in the other shoulder.
Many of these and other vehicles fell into rebel control, with defecting pilots or Udziman proxy combatants aiding in their use.

How many bullets can the cannon hold?

Maybe 50 rounds? Could be more is enough is held inside the torso of the mech.

Fairly realistic as far as realistic bipedals go, better than BT designs. Like the rubber/mesh sealing around the actuators

Yeah soft joint coverings go a long way for maintenance and light protection. No smaller caliber rounds jamming up your actuators.

Bet ya autocannon. It makes more sense.

No magazine tho.

Remember, autocannons in most 'Mech-based fiction keep their ammo boxes in primary body of the 'Mech around the shoulder and the ammo belt goes through the arm into the Autocannon. In this case, I think the ammo is kept in the arm just above the cannon.

Love this. When I first saw it (before scrolling down to the legs) I was thinking simplified Man O' War/Gargoyle. Anyway, sometimes less is more. Great work Shimm. =)

Can't have epic looking powerful mechs if every other mech is also epic haha, gotta have some more practical units for garrisons.

It looks like all the mech you'd need for COIN unless the insurgents have Battlemechs of their own.

Pretty much, man portable weapons can still be a threat, but that's what infantry cover is for.

Not a lot of dakka, but plenty precise. May even be better-suited as a sniper unit.

It's a fairly small mech with a smaller gun, so it might struggle to truly reach out.

Nice work! I wonder how you'd rework the Fafnir from battletech.

I kinda did a long time ago, but mostly stuck to the MW4 look.

looks surprisingly realistic by modern standards. I've also always loved the more "mobile turret" style rather than the popular "humanoid robot" style.

Looks sturdy and simple enough to use with minimal training. Like a turret with legs.

Yep. Not too slow either, it really only lacks in any big firepower.
