Battletech - Il Clan

Here's an interesting piece. Some have seen it, some have bought prints of it from me at gencon.

This was at one point going to be the cover art for the new Battletech era source book Il Clan. As it stands now, the scene depicted is no longer canon, so the art lays unused.

In this scene, Alaric Ward has taken control of Terra. Devlin Stone challenges Alaric to a trial of position for the right to sit as an advisor to the new Il Khan. Surrounded by a circle of equals, both face off in a Savage Wolf and Atlas II, with Devlin barely eking out a win in the trial.

After years of delays and revisions CGL decided to go a different direction with things. And the rest is history.
