Severon City had a reputation for being shadey. The world in which it is set is a post-apocalyptic setting where the people are bitter and beliefs are cynical. It's a dark time and the government has gained most of the control of the city (at least).

The story of the world, the city, the lunatics, and the concept of it all belong to my sister's ingenius creativity. Todd, though, belongs to me. He was just designed for that world's setting.

The government took on a child prodigy, Silas Noland (another one of my characters). He developed the Lunatic drug. After injecting a body with nanomachines, the drug causes a dramatic change in cell structure. They become the animals the subconscious is represented by. Silas became impatient when the development program was not moving as fast as he had hoped and he experimented on himself. However, the developmental lunatic drug began to eat away at his body. The formula was not quite perfect.

He continued to work despite his decreasing physical health. The serum finally reached the last stages of development and it was ready for testing. However, they needed to find a test subject. This is where they developed the idea of taking the homeless children. They were young and strong enough to endure the changing process and who would miss the street rats?

Meanwhile, Todd and his little sister had found themselves living on the streets of Severon. Their parents had died and Todd had promised himself that he would protect his little sister. He was the last family she had left and he promised himself that he would provide for her. But as a child he could not work and took to stealing. He became very good at being tricky, like the fox that outsmarts the hounds.

To keep it short, they came by and grabbed them both off the street. He never saw her since. He was battle trained, injected with one experimental serum after another... all of which turned out to be what they expected. He was the first Lunatic to be created.

At first he was cooperative and peaceful. He really didn't want to fight. But the nanomachines and the lunatic tear apart your mind as well as your body. You become dependant on the black lash drug for survival.

Slowly his mind dissinegrated. The split between fox and human tore his minds to shreds. He developed several forms of schizophrenia.

Eventually all was lost. He had sunk into a world of his own. He has a few triggers, such as people who look like medical staff, that will throw him into a blind rage. The only thing that can really draw him out is a young girl. Despite having lost his mind entirely- thinking he is the judgment of God- he still is deadset on protecting his little sister. He can't distinguish one little girl from another and so they are all his little sister.

I could go on for hours about his story but that pretty much sums it up. He escaped to the streets of Severon and somehow managed to survive. (That means he has to have found a source for black lash somehow.) He is the first lunatic and the longest living. For some reason despite his decaying body and mind something is keeping him alive longer than the other experiments. He is believed to be the most dangerous for the sheer fact that he has lived for so long and was the first created. He had the most intensive battle training and his animal is the fox. He earned his code name of Nitrious Oxide due to the uncontrolably fits of laughing during his battle (fox) mode. He would lose all control... which was probably the first indication that something would go wrong.
