Helluva Boss OC - Marylin

Marylin is a celebrated and well-known socialite along with being one of the upper managers of the software company that has created the many apps used in Hell (including Envee).

Appearance

Marylin appears as a beautiful and seductive demon with many octopus or cephalopod themes on her body. She has long waist long “hair” (in reality, numerous tentacles) in pale blues with rings and three distinct orange (functioning) eyes. The tips of her hair are tinged violet and she has them styled in a peekaboo fashion to look more seductive. Like the other eyes on her head, Marylin's actual eyes are a sunset orange but sport a black sclera (or where the white of eyes would normally be) and sports long lashes that project out from her face for her left eye (making it look as though she has an antenna). She is of average size to a human woman but is well noted for being rather curvy in body shape. Her arms and legs are of varying shades of purple with her wearing opera gloves of a darker violet.

She tends to wear clothing that empathizes her body's distinct curves, with skirts noted for showing off her navel and her legs when she walks. She also sports a top that makes it appear as though she has a pair of tentacles from a squid holding her bosom. Her normal dress even has a high collar, all of them in shades of red and black to accentuate her own skin's colors.

Personality

Marylin normally appears to be a showwoman at heart, loving a socialite lifestyle where she is often presenting many of the lifestyles and glitz that come from her position. She is dedicated to her goal in making apps that will make others envious of each other and spend more in the apps that the software company she works for. Marylin is extremely deceptive, however, and while she may act friendly and kind to those who see her through the app, she is a very calculating and intelligent Demon when alone to gather her thoughts. Like many Demons, she disregards Imps often but has enough respect for certain Imps that either have impressed her with a certain talent or (as is the case with her bodyguard, Rocco) the loyalty they've displayed.

Marylin is very talented in gathering information of anyone that uses the apps she's helped developed, and has been called a genius on using the technology presented to her. Thanks to this, she's able to always stay several steps ahead of anyone that has tried to “dethrone” her from position as one of the upper managers of her company. She is also very observant, knowing the faces of every Imp, Sinner, or Demon that is currently working in her department as well as the faces of her colleagues in management. It is actually thanks to this that she's been able to catch anyone trying to steal information from the company, and she's always pleased to personally crush those that try to take anything or anyone that belongs to her. Marylin also happens to be dedicated to her work, and often carries around a tablet as she goes about her day to deal with anything that might crop up with the apps her department develops or to use as part of her socialite life.

Marylin's “persona” through the Envee app is known to be very charismatic and she's shown to have many fans that she refers to as her “lovelies.” She often uses contests through her apps to collect more fans, and has largely been able to hold a sizable fan base thanks to this. She often keeps her friendlier persona around those few who have actually won her contests, and for the most part, she doesn't lose her cool when around these winners. However, this mask has slipped slightly every once in a while, particularly when someone makes a jab at her appearance being more suited for Lust than Envy. When she does get mad, she has shown she is willing to get her own hands dirty if it means she will silence the one who made the offense.

There are a select few who actually gain Marylin's respect and any emotions that she normally houses for her socialite persona, she actually expresses them in earnest to this select few. These few are the only ones that Marylin is willing to call by name or show any form of affection, thus making any of these few be harmed in some way the only true way to angering her thoroughly. Once angered, Marylin will not stop, she will not listen to reason, and she will not allow anything to get in her way until the accusing party has been crushed in every plausible way she can think of.

Abilities

Demon Transformation: Marylin is capable of turning into a large octopus-like Demon with several eyes on her body. This form, however, sports far more tentacles/arms than a normal octopus (or most cephalopods) are known to have. The suckers underneath the tentacles are known to be serrated, and two of her more prominent tentacles are known to have hook like protrusions on the top of each sucker.

Human Disguise: Marylin is capable of disguising herself as a human like many Demons, and she is shown to be a beautiful Caucasian woman with blonde hair. Her orange eyes shift to blue and her sclera go from black to white (though she does don a pair of sunglasses to minimize any chances of her eyes being exposed). She tends to wear fashionable clothing often in her human guises from dresses to shorts and tops that emphasize her natural curves.

Underwater Breathing: Due to her having cephalopod-like attributes, Marylin is actually capable of breathing and surviving underwater as well as above it.

Ink Spit: Marylin is capable of spitting out an ink-like substance from her mouth that she can make either gaseous or gel-like. The ink is known to cause extreme irritation if it hits anyone in the eye.

360 degree Vision: Due to the many eyes she sports, Marylin is capable of spotting anyone or anything coming at her from any direction.

Mind Reading: A subtle power, Marylin is capable of reading the minds of those near her vicinity. While she cannot read deep thoughts, she acknowledges that she is able to tell what anyone is thinking when she's around.

Telepathy: Marylin is capable of communicating through telepathy to those within her vicinity. She has used this to both intimidate anyone that has angered her or to communicate with her mute bodyguard, Rocco.

Skill Set

Showman Proficiency: Marylin is a talented showwoman, capable of getting crowds of any kind to follow whatever emotions she deems necessary for whatever event she is currently attending.

Computer Knowledge: Marylin is a talented programmer and is very knowledgeable on how to deal with even the worst computers around.

Marksmanship: Marylin is noted for being able to hit whatever she targets with her ink or when presented with a firearm.

Swimming: Marylin is capable of swimming naturally, and admits to having been the ace of her swim team when she was younger.

History

Born in the Envy Ring to a moderately rich family, Marylin grew up learning that in order to get anywhere, she had to be not only the smartest Demon but one that could keep the attention of others. Since one of her uncle's children would take over the family business rather than her own, Marylin decided to work on her image as she grew up and became one of the Envy Ring's top socialites. From then on, she build a friendly and loving personality outwardly, while using her own talents to boost her standing among other Demons by looking for weaknesses certain Demons didn't want to reveal to others. This did, however, create a problem for her as her talents were wanted by those of higher positions, though many would prefer her to be eliminated to avoid their dirty secrets to be revealed.

It was through one of the many kidnappings she went through her life that she would meet Rocco, a mute Imp from the Wrath Ring, who was at the time a hired hand for her kidnapping. Being able to communicate to him in a level that no one could, she was able to convince Rocco that he could do better than what he was doing and was able to be escape her captors with his help. Rocco's loyalty to Marylin became indisputable from then on, and Rocco managed to do something that very few Demons, Imps, or Sinners had ever managed to do: earn Marylin's respect.

When her family's business began to flounder due to the shift in technology, Marylin gained the knowledge necessary to rebuild it by becoming enticed by computers (specifically programming). Thanks to her talents in making programs, she was even invited to help maintain one of the famous apps in the Envy Ring, Envee, by the Sin of Envy, Leviathan. She was soon given a position in a software company as an upper manager and her own department to run. While it did take time, Marylin handpicked each and every worker in her department with only those that had earned her respect and were capable of keeping up with her own work. While it was a challenge to balance both her socialite life and this new position, Marylin obtained her family's business and became the new head of her family for her recognized talents. She currently is searching for ways to boost her position, while maintaining a now more romantic relationship with Rocco behind private doors.

Misc.

• While she doesn't necessarily need to do so, Marylin is capable of using sign language to speak with others. While she says that she learned to reach to certain viewers, the actual reason seems to be is so that she can have conversations with her bodyguard (and romantic partner), Rocco (who communicates through sign language regularly).

• Marylin admits that her more socialite personality that most Demons know through the apps was based off of some of the more popular Sins such as Asmodeus of Lust and Beelzebub of Gluttony.

• Marylin has two uncles, two aunts, four cousins (two males, two females), and her own parents as the only existing family (with her father being the youngest of the main family line). She has them all wrapped around her fingers due to now being the head for saving the family financially.

• Marylin's department has held the title of “best department to work in” for the last twelve years since the company opened. Her department often celebrates this with a weekend trip to some of the more famous places in the Lust Ring.

• Marylin is a fan of dishes with seafood in it with her favorite dishes having crustacean in it.

• When not at work or out and about to show off her socialite lifestyle, Marylin's favorite past time is to watch classical movies while snuggling with Rocco.

• Marylin's marksmanship skills come from Rocco teaching her. She eventually was given a hand gun modeled after the AMT Backup from Arcadia Machine & Tool on Earth with her name on the handle as a birthday gift from him (she treasures the gun fondly).

• During her middle and high school life, she was the ace of her swimming team and had broken records (along with some of the competitors).

• Marylin despises jokes about her and tentacles.

• Marylin has been kidnapped a total of fifty six times by demons trying to take her family's riches.

• Due to her mother being a succubus, Marylin gained much of her mother's body but has come to grow annoyed at all the dirty jokes others make because of it.

• Marylin often claps her hands together whenever she calls on Rocco or someone that is within earshot.

• Marylin has custom made her own tablet for work, her socialite life, and personal use.
