Hey so this is just a friendly reminder that if y'all if you see any AI art pieces that aren't labelled properly as such and thus aren't getting filtered even though you have AI results suppressed in your settings, you are fully within your right to go and report that image for not being categorized correctly debndfkg
I see a lot of AI stuff that isn't being labelled properly as AI, either out of intentional attempts to bypass the filters or just out of sheer genuine ignorance/stupidity (a problem DA always has had tbf) and I p much try to report any of the ones I find and then block those who made them pfft.
Something I find genuinely bothers me when evaluating some of the the comments I tend to get on Gavrielle's design (not just here but also irl on at least a couple of occasions), and tbh even on my other work as well, is the fact that whimsy/the rule of cool is apparently lost on a lot of people for some reason.
For example just bc this seems to be one of the more common ones I've gotten; Why do combat boots need high heels? (Or some variation of this about high heels being impractical for fighting.) They don't, but they do sometimes come with them. Sure, crimefighting in high-heeled combat boots prob wouldnt work IRL but I added them bc they look good and the Enochim's costumes aren't strictly bound by the laws of practicality or earthly logic, which is something I did by design because I explicitly wanted to be able to do whatever I wanted with their costumes - within the guidelines set within the world, of course, so that's what Gavrielle has. That and it's fiction anyway so why not? Gotta put my pinterest fashion inspo boards to use somehow.
I don't mind people asking questions or being curious about my work, but sometimes stuff like that can come off a little bit condescending/snooty to me (not saying it's INTENDED to come off that way but that's how it can feel), like people/the fun police are missing the point and forgetting that the rule of cool exists (whether intentionally or not. I have been on the internet long enough to know that people aren't above pretending to be stupid/pretending to not understand certain basic-level things in order to have a point) and that I am likely to use it wherever I'm able just so that they can have something critical/high-brow to say, like certain things not being realistic enough or not making any sense (despite the laws of real-world logic already being thrown out the window just by virtue of SALVATION being a superhero thing, and all of it does make sense within the context of SALVATION's lore). I sometimes lean slightly more towards practicality/realism but that's not always the case and it's not entirely what I always prefer. It depends on the context, but in general I tend to prefer opting for the more fun/whimsical/rule of cool option than the strictly realistic/practical option when it comes to my art, just because that tends to allow for more creative possibilities. Same goes for gear and weapons and stuff like that. I! Like! Having! Fun!! And having a reason not to overthink every little thing in the name of realism helps make it easier to make decisions.
It's just not that hard to glean to me so I don't entirely understand why this seems to be a prevailing thing I've run into pfft. I just like the rule of cool, my dudes. It aint that deep. Just enjoy the fact that Gavrielle can kill demons and live in high heeled combat boots without any pain in her universe and also look great/a few inches taller while doing it pfft.
Alternative ship names for Amour/Jax that I still like - Vampire Bunny, Love Bunny, Chaos & Lace
She has a minor ship with Gummigoo as well and I'm still brainstorming for that one pfft
Sooo I recently found some finished/almost finished character references for some prominent Salvation Saga characters that I apparently never uploaded here and I was wondering if anyone wants to see em? .3. So far they're of Sher's mother, father, maternal grandmother, mentor, and a potential love interest.
I'm still working on concepting/making other supporting characters and villains as well but those are the main ones I have that appear to be done or at least almost done.
SO I'm thinking about how I wanna approach this new direction I'm taking with my mariosona/mario OC, Violet and I need help deciding what to do in terms of ships now. Bc I'm realizing that I also greatly adore her with Luigi (after exploring luigi's mansion content through my mario binge and HNNNNNG HIM PLUS MOVIE LUIGI HAS MY HEART BRO) and I'm having to make some decisions pfft.
I DO THINK THAT SHE AND BOWSIE COULD BE FUN but she and Luigi just ;; would be so cute and work so well.
And I have a feeling that if I wanted to pull some strings, I could totally stick Aphrodite into this universe somehow and make that a grand fun time. I think Aph and Bowsie would be downright hilarious honestly due to just how contrasting their personalities/aesthetics are. She's the supreme guardian for a venrai princess bro. She doesn't have time for this random goofball's shenanigans.
and obvi either way I'll be sticking to giving him a redemption arc bc no matter who I ship him with, he'd have about as much luck with Vi and Aph as he would with Peach without some sort of change happening pfft.
Aphrodite will have no mercy upon him. He will have no choice but to be a good boy bc Aph doesn't put up with any BS ever.
And Violet is just so soft-spoken and pure and sweet, she wouldn't wanna get involved w him without that redemption arc for her own safety if nothing else pfft.
Galaxy swung that carrot in front of me AND I'M TAKING IT AND RUNNING
SO YEAH IDK
FEEL FREE TO GIVE OPINIONS ABOUT WHETHER WE LIKE THE POSSIBILITY OF BOWVI OR BOWDITE/VIOLUIGI MORE
BUT I MAY TRY AND EXPLORE BOTH SOMEHOW?? IDK??
EITHER WAY
