Ten thousand pageviews and still going strong. usually this wouldn't take so long to reach, and usually I'd look out and say thank you to everyone who's been here since the start. Well, sadly, the few people who joined me the day are started this no longer frequent here or I've lost touch with. Back in 2005, I frequented a forum called Lemmy's Land which focused primarily on fancharacter interaction. Myself dabbling in the art of the fancharacter, I leaped headfirst with a cast of four characters and developed a coherent adventure for them to go on, as well as complex, linking backstories and rivalries and friendships and made a whole series about it. Way back when, Cassie Koopa, Anjil Yoshi, Yesha Yoshu and Noxious Koopa (now Dr. Bollocks) were there to greet me when I decided to draw them up here. Yoshi's were easy to draw, and I was untalented, so I could pop out three a day, really just to show in my descriptions what new character would rear its head in Yoshu's adventure. Shortly after Goemon Sama, a dear friend and cousin of mine joined in on the digital portfolio that now plagues our Windows Registries with horrible trojan viruses from it's awful ads.
Now, I didn't get my start in drawing from Yoshi. I had created characters and scenarios long before I even owned a computer in the early nineties. But LL provided a common grounds for people to create one giant universe of characters since they were all based on the Mario Universe. Every character was sketched out first on paper, then sprited (expertly, if I may sat so myself) and then, eventually, drawn digitally. Since my audience has changed drastically over the years, I'll reintroduce every character present in this artwork. If you don't care to read the following descriptions thank you for reading this far. You may skip down and comment below. Please note that I don't consider these characters or this fanon dead, I simply have diverted my spare time to other things. I hope to someday manage my time so that I can continue Chesterfield and other artwork, as well as Yoshi and Mario series fancharacters. The characters are as follows, clockwise from the Blue Yoshi with the multicolored hair:Yoshu the Yoshi
is the hero of the series, living on a lonely Offering Island that offers King Bowser it's wares once a full moon since he defeated Mario and enslaved the Mushroom Kingdom. Living with his unsupportive Grandfather, and being declared by a crazy old Martial Arts Master and Prophet The Prevailing Westerlies (Unpictured)
Yoshu sets sail after some training and having mastered the element of Wind. Yoshu's goal is to rassemble the Seven Starboards
which will allow him the strange to quell the demon within him and finally defeat the King, freeing both his people and the world from his scaly grasp. Both headstrong and humble, Yoshu treats friend and stranger alike, believing both trust and hostility lead to prejudice. Berri the Yoshi
was shipwrecked on an island when she was too young to remember. Growing up in Keelhaul Key,
Berri became an expert at navigating harsh jungle canopies and deep rivers. After Yoshu is ambushed by hostile natives, Berri comes to his rescue recognizing him as one of her own. However, after an ensuing confrontation, Berri eats one of Yoshu's three legendary berries, the Caster Berry
giving her the ability to cast spells by mixing fruit. Since she had unintentionally stolen this power from Yoshu, she decided to travel with him, so she could use it in his stead. She developed serious feelings for Yoshu.Spike the Rex
first met Yoshu a long way down the road, when Yoshu was done island-hopping and finally made it to the Continent.
Spike roamed Donut Plains
with his "family" a pack of rogue Rexes that ravaged the Plains for food and riches. Realizing after a fierce battle that Yoshu rivaled him in strength, Spike found a true friend in Yoshu, who was a natural born leader, in contrast to Spike's need for guidance. When the pack used Spike's friendship with Yoshu to steal his Starboards, Spike fought his own blood for Yoshu, who promptly invited him along for the ride. While Spike lacks intelligence, he has a worldly knowledge that is unrivaled, making him an asset to the team.Moon the Yoshi, Lexer the Yoshi and Riles the Yoshi-Troopa
are a group of three ex-convicts sent by Kamek to stop Yoshu from assembling the Starboards. Moon, Yoshu's half-sister, possessing more demon like qualities and retaining the succubus-like qualities of their father
would follow her brother, lexer, to the ends of the earth, while her evil mind is shaken a bit by Yoshu's courage. Lexer
spent most of his life behind bars when he actually attempted to challenge Bowser for leadership of the troop. Despite possessing excellent strength and will to fight, Bowser easily defeated and humiliated Lexer. The King dismissed all death charges and locked Lexer away, citing that his fearsome power was excellent in case a resistance ever developed, yet would be counter-productive if he was always trying to kill Bowser. he was released by Kamek shortly after Yoshu obtained the first Starboard. he is Moon's brother and Yoshu's half-brother. Riles
dons the axe and black shell that his deceased father wielded during the later years of Mario's life. Riles monitored Lexer through his incarceration, after himself being reformed for crimes against the king in his youth. The two developed a close friendship, and Riles promised Lexer that if they were ever set free, they would flee the kingdom and start life someplace else. He hates Yoshu for ever trying to walk in Mario, the man who killed his father's footsteps.Birdon the Birdo
is the first person that Yoshu meets on his adventure. Yoshu's first and truest friend, the two did battle when Yoshu was shipwrecked in Gwarhar Lagoon. After going their separate ways, reuniting and battling several times, Birdon finally joined the group in the Vanilla Dome
coming to terms with the fact that the carefree lifestyle he wanted to live could not exist while Bowser reigned Supreme. He possesses the ability to fire both eggs and fire from his snout, as well as manipulating fire to burn his foes as he bruises them.Okay, kids, we're almost at the finish line.
So yeah. that was that. This is how it all started kids, so many years ago. I intend to post this picture at
so feel free to comment on whichever version you like. Thanks for staying here and giving my these views. I hope I can produce art for you to enjoy fior as long as I can. It's been fun.
