White Eye

When you beat up an old engine, it doesn't get a black eye, but a white one. At least thats the case for a class 110 with the serial 286-2, the second of the two engines that retained their "Ozeanblau-Beige" livery from the 70s. The missing windscreen was covered with styrofoam and a plastic foil, which since then must have been ripped off.

As you may or may not have noticed, even though this engine and the one from the first pic [link] are of the same type, this one has a slightly different front, and two windows less. This is what Germans would call a "Kasten 110", literally translated a box-110. The other one is nicknamed "Bügelfalte", as it appears to have a crease down the middle of the cab, that gave it a distinctively sleeker appearance than the box one. I think I'll post another last pic for today to illustrate that.
