No hope in the zone

Sorry for being totally offline lately, but my nonexistent lab-journal writing skills are demanded at the moment.

However, I managed to get a shot of the death rail's other side today. You might remember this one [link] Well, this is the other side of the rail, at least what one can see from where I was standing. The view from other places is much more astonishing, but my crappy camera messed it up of course, as everything that isn't reasonably close to the lens gets blurred easily. I might upload some more, if I have time.

So here we see a class 151 in the foreground, still fairly intact, directly behind it, hard to see, a frame that once was an engine still resting on the bogies, and one of two class 110 in the background. They're all awaiting their destruction, with the roof being dismantled first, then the side panels are cut away, followed by the removal of the transformator and everything else in the engine room. At the end, the only thing thats left is a bare frame with the two cabs, which are also removed quite forcefully at times with the help of a claw. Finally, the frame gets cut up into smaller pieces, with the bogies being the last parts to suffer their fate.

Many of the famous class 103 disappeared off the face of the earth just before us, and at times, there were long lines of engines awaiting their death, but I wasn't interested as much in trains as I am now, and didn't even have a camera.
