Hello everyone!

If you didn't catch the last journal entry, I'm starting a new DA account for more of my current projects. I'm still gonna use my shenaniboom account to save favorites and goof around in the forums and whatnot, but if you'd like to see more art from me, please follow this new account :)

Here it is!

Also, if you feel it in your heart to do so, here is my blog if you wish to follow!

I feature one artwork (lesser known, classical works thus far) per week with my thoughts about them. I am hoping to start deviant art features as well.
Then I do one, major blog post a month about art, life, spirituality, or whatever I feel inspired to let loose about.

It's slowly growing, but I hope to start including more things in the near future like art tutorials, reviews on movies, books, and more.

Anywho, as I've said once before, I appreciate all your support over the years. This is nothing more than a new chapter :)

Thank you and God bless <3
Hey everyone! It's been a while :)

So, if you haven't already suspected it, this page has kind of fizzled out. If I happen to get back into commissions sometime, I could possibly re-purpose this page for that. Other than that, I will keep this page up (and use it to collect favorite artworks :3), but don't expect much else from this account in the near (or possibly indefinite) future.

Don't worry, everything is fine. In fact, life has been amazing! I haven't stopped drawing in the least. My focus has changed, but my artistic life has been thriving!

So, on to the main reason of this update: I've just started a blog! I was encouraged to start blogging and agreed that it would be a great way to share with others the thoughts and insights I've gained through my artistic pursuits and my relationship with God. I'll just paste an excerpt from the "about" section of my blog site:

"This blog then, is an ongoing meditation on the dignity of the “artistic vocation”, an ode to God’s reflection found in beauty, and a chronicle of our quest as human beings (artistic or not) towards our eternal destiny in Him from Whom all goodness springs. I will also share a bit of my own, personal journey. Namely, the artistic or spiritual things I’ve come to understand that may be of benefit to whoever reads of them."

So, I will post a link to the blog at the bottom of this journal post if you wish to follow me on there :)
Also, I will most likely open a new account on deviant art that coincides with the blog. If or when that happens, I will let you all know :)

Thank you all for your support!

Here is my blog :)
Hello! It's been a while :)

How's life treating everyone? Personally, I've been busy; busy, but happy :)
I haven't posted anything on here in a while, mostly because most of what I've been drawing has been either practice sketches or for a personal project of mine. I've been doing a lot of figurative sketches and have been practicing anatomy. I got this great book entitled 'Classic Human Anatomy: the Artist's Guide to Form, Function, and Movement' by Valerie L. Winslow. I highly recommend it as it has lots of pictures and is very practical for artists. It doesn't bog you down with pages upon pages of medical book esque diction. I might upload some of my sketches in the future. Maybe even a collage of them.

Also, I have a full time job now and have earned my drivers licence! I work in a factory packaging tortillas and chips :3 I rather like it for the most part. Plus, I get plenty of opportunities to work on my sketches during breaks :)

Another thing I've been up to is reading. I haven't been very tempted to read much in the recent past due to a reading stutter I've been struggling with. I wanted to, but it got frustrating after only a short period and kind of didn't try too much after that.

A little over a year ago, one of my best friends published her first book; a book of fantasy entitled 'Dissonance'. I got my copy shortly after it came out but only just finished it. thought of this as a good opportunity to pick up reading again. Even if it took me a long time, I was determined to finish it. Seeing as it was a friend who wrote it, it gave me a bit of motivation to stick it out; to see what kind of world she weaved. I enjoyed the story very much and grew very fond of the characters.

Here's the plot as written on the back of the book...

"Fifteen-year-old singer Allie Grant lives crippled by her illness. Though kept in isolation, she’s never alone: A spirit named Song lurks in the silence of her bedroom.

When Song reveals its dark nature on the night of her recital, the show ends in tragedy. Verging on death, Allie’s taken in by an uncle she’s never met. Julian claims to be a Muse with power over music and answers that’ll heal her.

It isn’t long before Allie suspects her uncle has a secret that’ll change her very identity. But with days left to live, she might fade without learning the truth…like the finishing chord of a song."

Since finishing this book, my experience with reading books has greatly improved. So, in a little way, this book has been a bit healing in that way and for that I am grateful

So, in order to spread awareness for this book (and the future sequels), I'm going to start a fan art series, introducing you to the characters and presenting my visual interpretation of them :)

Here's a link to the amazon page for more information on the…

Update (10/12/16): The next book is out!! It's entitled, 'Serenade'. It's available on…

Hard copies coming soon!

Also, if you feel so inclined, hit me up with some book suggestions as I am looking for more books to try out!

Nothing too long or heavy at the moment since I consider myself a very light weight reader for the time being ^-^

I have a special place in my heart for fantasy, and I like styles of writing that are concise in their execution.

400 pages at the most is preferable. 300 is more doable but it depends on how easy of a read it is for me.

Nothing sexually explicit, overly violent, or occult please.

Have a nice day everyone! Thanks for sticking around :)
Hi there!
Thank you for stopping by

Please read below for all of my commission prices, terms of service, and everything you need to know to help you discern if I'm the artist for you.

My prices are based on an $8.00 an hour pay. Below are some examples of art grouped by type of commission. The prices posted below are based on a drawing without backgrounds or props; solely on the subject. If you want props or backgrounds in your drawing, it may cost somewhere within the middle of the range or more depending on how complicated the subject is. Or it may not effect the price much at all if it's simple enough (I doesn't take me an extra hour to draw a stick or an apple or whatnot).

* I do not commission paper children at the moment. This is just my most recent, colored example.

Do you want to see what YOU or a friend looks like in my style? I can do that, too! Just send me a clear photo of who you want drawn and I'll copy it in my style! Makes a great gift! Pricing is the same as the rest of my commissions. Just state what sort of drawing you want.

  • 'My Little Pony' characters
  • Copyrighted characters
  • The character must be dressed decently ("if it belongs at Hooters, it does not belong here" is my usual guideline)

What to include in your note/email:

  • What sort of commission you want

  • I will automatically upload my finished work to my Deviantart page unless you request the work to remain strictly private. If nothing is said, I'll assume it's ok to post.

Payment method/contact info:

  • My payment method is Paypal
  • My email (both for paypal and general contact) is
  • After you communicate what you want done, I'll consider what amount of time the drawing will take and price it accordingly. If the time it takes to complete your commission increases from my original estimate, I will not charge you extra.
  • I will ask for payment in full before I begin work on your commission.
  • You will receive a 600dpi scan of the finished piece. For more serious business offers, you may request the original if it is required. The cost will be slightly more due to shipping expenses.

Serious business offers

I am open to more serious business opportunities. If you feel I am right for your business, publication, or design, contact me via email to make arrangements. Pricing situations may differ from business to business. Feel free to discuss your terms with me.

Thank you again for stopping by! I hope to do business with you soon!

Hello everyone smiley onion

I know not everyone likes these so you don't have to participate if you don't want to, but I thought it would be fun to tell a little about each other. I'd like to get to know my lovely watchers ^^ You may participate at any time!

Just list 20 facts about yourself. 20 might seem like a lot at first, but you'd be suprised how much you can find out about yourself if you dig deep enough :D It can be about anything at all: interests, your little quirks, talents you have, whatever you'd like!
You're alowed to elaborate on your facts. For an example: if you say you like anime, you can say which ones are your favorite.
Not only will it help us get to know eachother, you may even find out something new about yourself! A little self reflection is a good thing and it is a good reminder that we are all special and unique! Maybe we can strike up some conversation if we find things in common :)

Okay, I'll start:

1. I'm a girl :3
2. I've been homeschooled since the 3rd grade (I've graduated high school a few years ago).
3. The first place (and only place, so far) I've been employed was a corn maize during Halloween. I was one of those people who dress up and scare people :D  I made some grown men scream like little girls Psyco
4. I'm a pretty quiet person but I like to make people laugh :3
5. I've been developing an action/adventure/post-apocalyptic/supernatural/drama manga story for countless years that I hope to publish someday! I hope, when the time is right, that I'll get to show it to everyone on deviant art Another Onion Icon
6. I like to try strange food. Nowadays, whenever I'm at a resturaunt, I like to try to find something I've never tried before. More times than not, I end up liking what I tried. The strangest thing I've tried so far was baby octopus salad with caramel soysauce dressing. It wasn't pleasant not because it tasted bad (the octopi were mostly cartilage and didn't taste like much), it was the image of those cute little faces in my mouth getting crunched up! It made me feel like gagging! Blehh!
7. I'm Catholic and proud of it Happy Happy..Onion
8. I have ocd Levi Rivaille (Clean Freak) [V3]
9. I like to learn about new cultures and hope to travel somewhere outside the United States. I'd like to go to Japan, Hawaii, Italy, and the Holy Land sometime before I die :)
10. If you haven't figured it out by now, I'm a pretty big anime/manga fan! I don't care how old or new it is. I'll watch/read it if it's good :D
11. I despise greenbeans. Canned greenbeans are fine. It's the fresh ones. Yuck :yuck:
10. I like going on adventures and exploring places, especially in nature! Hikes, nature walks, camping, I like that stuff ^^
12. I find that I enjoy going to aquariums. There's something very cool and serene about underwater life (unless were talking about sharks and the like :D). I have a 5 1/2 gallon tank in my room (there aren't any fish in it at the moment but it used to house a betta). Going swimming with the dolphins is on my bucket list!
13. The main instruments I play are piano and ocarinaonion yepI own two, 12 hole, "sweet potato" ocarinas ( a tenor and a soprano) and a 6 hole, pendant ocarina that I never play anymore :P (it was kinda cheap). I hope to get a multiple-chambered ocarina someday :) I also play tin and wood whistles from time to time. Edit: I now own one other tenor 12 hole, a bass 12 hole, and a triple ocarina!
14. I have 5 siblings. I'm the second oldest.
15. I like all kinds of music! Anything from classical, to jazz, to metal, to ska, jazz, oldies, if it's good, by all means :D The only generas I don't care for are rap and most hip-hop and country. I really like Johnny Cash though, but I'd call his music something like "rebel country" ;)
16. my coffee black (I'm starting to run out of ideas XD)
17. I may be an adult, but I like to make blanket forts! In fact, the first time I played Skyrim was in a large blanket fort me and my brother made in our living room infront of the television! You can not. IMAGINE. how EPIC that was! Yescrying
18. There are 4 pets in my household: two girl cats named Maleah and Inky, a boy cat named Figaro who's a cute-eyed, little troublemaker, and a girl dog named Leilani who's a golden lab. My little sister has a girl frog named Lily :) Edit: She gave away her frog and now owns a fire-bellied toad :P
19. My stomach is kind of my achillies heel. Whenever I get the stomach bug, I almost always end up in the hospital. I'm also lactose intolerant.
20. I like to keep my hair really short (like, pixie cut short) because I don't like to style my hair or spend large amounts of time in the bathroom XD Also, because it suits me Wink/Razz

I look forward to reading your replies!

P.S. One a completely unrelated note, I got rid of the art trade journal but if you're still up to doing an art trade when you get the time, Neoconvoy I'm still up for it :D If not, that's fine too.

Other than that, my art trades are still closed.

It's been a while since this journal has been used so I'd just like to let ya know that you can still try this out if you want :)
