In 2009 I graduated with my BFA. I worked doing other things for awhile, still creating, but more as a hobby and not as frequently. In 2011 I learned how to sew and made my first cosplay. In 2012 I went to a convention in a costume for the first time. In 2013 I was officially hooked and made 2 new outfits for the same convention. In 2014 I did a show called Delaware Fun-A-Day where you made a piece of art every day for a month that culminated in a group show at the end. I had learned how to crochet amigurumi that year, so between those and sewing projects I really pushed myself to create using felt and fabric. In 2015 I did the same show, but couldn't really do sewing because I didn't have the space at the time. I turned to illustration, kind of my artistic go-to, but feeling nervous about putting it out there for a very well attended show. It was well received: I was asked for prints and invited to attend the artist alley of a small up-and-coming convention. Everything has just kind of steamrolled from there. Now, with 2015 coming to a close, I made the big leap of making this my real job. I'm taking some classes to flesh out my artistic experience (I'm sorely lacking when it comes to Photoshop and Illustrator), and working on new ideas that I finally have time for! I'm looking forward to posting more often, so please keep an eye out for new work!
