No, my friend. She is a problem, THE problem. ALL women are the biggest problem in the world, fiction and real-life.

anti-feminism much?

I'm just pointing out the very, single(one), obvious often overlooked and seemingly ignored by most people(kids, teens and adults) especially women themselves).
popsis15's avatar
uh huh.. .and uh.. what reasons support this idea that "women are the cause of everything bad"?
Shellquake's avatar
The fact that they're the ones who sit on the sides while the men are the ones to do most things, even those of which women themselves can do as well, but choose and/or refuse to do so.

Take Disney characters for example. Such as

Beauty and the Beast (Disney version)- The Prince was punished for his selfish, spoiled and cruel nature to be a repulsive beast
Belle is the Disney beauty that is bookish, imaginative, and in her own "mature" way childishly immature, being stubborn when *ask* to join the beast for dinner and entering the beast's west wing room when forbidden. Basically, they both have characteristics of children, selfish, spoiled, playful and easily temperamental.

George and Mary Darling from Peter Pan - George's only desire as a man(not as a father) is nothing more than to succeed in watching his children grow into adults, "settle down" and have their own children "before passing on to the next life". Mary, in her own way, especially as a woman and as a mother, mostly as a mother, wanted the same thing. George is hot-tempered, arrogant, cheap and cruel even to his own children, but they either don't know it or they just don't care(you know being kids and all), so there should be no reason as to why he even deserve being a father let alone a grandfather. AS for Mary, sure she's a good lady, but strikes me as ignorant, lazy, naïve and motherly even to her own husband. Like all women of her stature, mothers most likely, she is more supportive and loyal to George than to her own children, no matter how mean or angry he often gets, as if she herself is the "angle"/"human" being to keep him from acting like a beast himself, making sure he "controls his temper", just like belle in Beauty and the Beast(Disney version).

Then there's Sarabi, queen mother of the lion king. She is more described as a supportive wife as well as loving mother than a queen. Like all wives/mothers, She sits just quietly with much maturity(showing no signs of emotions) while her husband and son do the usual father/son relation thing, as if she wasn't at all or wanted no part of the family. Through her son Simba's many kiddish complaints, she like all mothers like herself keeps a smile on her face as if she didn't care about how childish he acts, proving herself willing to embarrass him if she believes that she is serving his best interests. So basically, she's not at all as strict and teaching to Simba as Mufasa,  However, the only time when she is ever gets angry is the time when her evil brother in law Scar acted as King and that the pridelands were in ruins. Now that is woman complication. The same thing with Nala becoming a mother and a wife, reminding Simba of his childhood, urging him to trust Kovu, and being encouraging to her daughter Kiara.

Roger and Anita from 101 Dalmatians- Anita is too trusting of people even if they are sinister and cruel like Cruella De Vil, not quick to judge but not smart to see right through her like Roger.

The Banks parents of Mary Poppins, and Mary herself - Mr. Banks mirror the exact personalities that George Darling harbors, the first name, strict, unloving, working around the clock(in banks) and you know expect nothing more than his children behaving like adults. And both Mrs. Banks and Mar Poppins support that, but in different ways. Mrs. Banks is happy-go-lucky, but that makes her childish even as an adult and naïve even towards her husband, as she often says "yes, dear" in their every convocations. Poppins is the kind of woman even though is everything Burt and the children sees in her, is really a female version of Mr. Banks, strict, ruley, proper and as it is called now and when(not then) no-nonsense.

My point is

There may be millions of men who are strict, greedy, hot-tempered and hooked on work and business, caring more about those things than about simple things like family, love, and other things.

But even women can act that way, maybe even worst. Caring more about things like stupid appearances, the man they want to have children with and grandchildren they want to see before death than they care about what's going on right now in the real world.

You do realise you brought up disney movies? Especially ones from a long time ago? Can we agree that everyone is different? Sure it is a disney trope for dads to be stern and the mothers to be well, motherly. I don't think they really stood on the sides in these movies because a lot of times in real life, women may be a bit intimidated to confront angry husbands. And you can't say that women only care about appearances. My mother, and my grandmother, love me and my siblings a lot. Even though they did struggle with their image for a period of time. My mother absolutely wants to see my future children (if i get any) and same thing goes for my dad. My dad is the one who doesn't show emotion a whole lot but that's because he internalizes a lot. The reason I bring up my parents is because they are different but real people.

But if we go back to disney movies, mothers tend to not play a huge role in the movie, but that doesn't mean they didn't play an ENORMOUS role in the protagonist's life. And stern fathers (not angry and abusive ones) teach their kids and impact them the most. I have no doubt in my mind that most disney parents love their kids. And we have to remember that everyone's different and everyone's human, so we make mistakes. It's very easy to be consumed by greed.

Childish? You bring this up a lot. I don't mean to be rude but what's wrong with being childlike? Of course not overly childlike. But they are mothers so they do have a sense of maturity that you are ignoring. I really hope you can have an open mind about these things, not every woman is the same and not every man is the same. Men can be childish too, believe me. Have a blessed day.

There are others. Such as...

Speed Racer, Speed's father, Pops is always considered a head-hot, even when being overprotective of those he claimed of his family. And Speed's mother, mostly refer to as Mom, is mostly portrayed as both typical loving housewife and encouraging parental figure, having limited dialogs and acts as the voice of reason. The same as Beauty and the beast(Disney version) and the darling parents from Peter Pan(original and Disney).

But hey, like I said before, I understand if you don't believe or don't want to believe me. You rather live the truth than hear it, that's up to you.

There are other films, sitcoms, comic books, and even cartoons in which different and opposite

Exactly! That's the point. women who are married are often afraid and intimidated by their angry husbands, but at the same time respect their methods of handling situations. However, there are case, often limited where the husband(not the angry type) may be a bit intimidated by the wife due to another woman who is either more beautiful or just as beautiful.

OK OK OK. you can go ahead and live your life plan your future, and do whatever suits or satisfies you. I'm sorry. Really. I won't send to you again, you can be sure of that.
