My Bio

I am an illustrator, designer, and Fine artist. I often juggle between traditional and digital mediums. I am the father to five amazing kids and live in a small college town. I earned my Bachelors Degree from BYU-IDAHO in 2007 and I began my Masters at the Academy of Art Univeristy in 2009. I often sketch in blue BIC pen as well as in digital programs like Krita or Photoshop. Traditionally I love painting in Oil. I love painting landscapes and following the fantasy and science fiction genre's. I also have done web design. Visit my website for a more of my work: www.brushdragon.com

lost works

Something dangerous is looking through old sketchbooks.  Once you see an old concept you loved, you simply have to take a go at it...because you know you can do so much better.  Well, that and finding some old stuff that was actually good is fun too.  The New Emerald post is one of those kinds of things.  There are so many pieces of art I have...some good, some bad.  So, which to upload?  Incisions, Incisions.

Economy

0 min read
I get so frustrated when people around me praise my art for its quality....but then, none of them buy anything.  Most of this is from the area I live in being small and rural.  Unfortunately for me, I don't like large cities or metropolitan areas where my kind of artwork fourishes.  I was never a farm boy, but its pretty much the same kind of area I grew up in....where you could get lost in the middle of nowhere (literally) and you had to drive to the next town to see a movie.  Mountains greet me in the morning sunrises and bid me farewell at the sunsets.  For all this beauty and peace...There is not a strong artistic economy here at all. ...
