Rocky Sphere Breakdown by Shastro Rocky Sphere Breakdown by Shastro
I figured I'd make one of these for funzies.

Got substance painter today, and I'm going to learn it and hopefully finally be able to make something big for you guys. Working on sci fi (also its going to be mlp related at long last)

As per the norm, life be busy.

Stay Awesome.

Do you need the substance painter for more easy texturing?

You don't need substance painter per say, but its tools are amazing for generating complex and realistic textures offering everything from normal map baking, to particle texturing.  Really it's just great for getting super precise and fluid control to paint photorealistic textures as opposed to having to combine loads of pictures into a composite texture.

It's really just a great tool.

That being said there are also other reasons someone might want to use all the other methods of texturing (procedural, composite image based, and texture painting)

I was able to get it for free along with substance designer using a student license.
