AtN Fan Art [WIP] - 6 - Water Droplets and More! by Shastro AtN Fan Art [WIP] - 6 - Water Droplets and More! by Shastro
[UPDATE]- Crappily darkened the grass to help redirect the focus back towards the center, the vignette should probably be stronger as well.
I accidentally screwed up one of the shaders on the left, but I don't have time to wait for a re-render.

Made with Blender Rendered in Cycles, Tweaked with Photoshop.

Grass is relatively temporary. Shaders still need lots of tweaking.

Changes Since Previous Version:
-
Added loads of coffin detail and worked on external supports.
- Added Coffin Lid, Modeled Cusions and another cloth thingy
- Added water droplets to the rose.
- Added Crappy Temporary Grass, till I can get the grass essentials. or Improve my grass making skills.
- Changed Up Lighting
- Changed Up hair a bit
- Added more to the rose and tweaked its design.

Plans For Next Version:
-
Fix Shaders
- Fix Shaders Again
- Added Flower Arrangement (possibly)
- Finish Pillow and get it looking Ship Shape
- Finish grass, preferably with Grass essentials
- Finish Lighting and Get it perfect
- Basically just get everything looking the way I want it too :P

Render Information:
-
Idk I used Renderstreet

Other Information
This scene has 3.5 million triangles, over 15 thousands hairs, almost 2 thousand objects, and mega lag levels

Have a Good one and don't forget to STAY AWESOME!

I can lend you some grass :)

Thank You! It still needs some work but its getting there.

*Ooo* That would be interesting, about the grass, but you do not need to go through the effort :)

Looks very impressive!
I think you might get away with a grass texture instead of rendering actual grass geometry for this image. Maybe combine both methods and use a texture with only a handful of 3D grass blades on top?

I'd also suggest going with a more subtle, darker and less saturated green for the grass in general. Right now, the right part of the image distracts from all the awesome work in the center, which should be the focus of the image.

I'm a bit confused abouth the wavey part next to the cushions on the left. Is that supposed to be part of the cushions? Or something else entirely?

Anyway, (to put it in your own words) stay awesome and keep up the great work! You're making great progress with this.

Thank You!

I'll have to consider that, I had originally planned to use the grass essentials pack for the grass, but a grass texture might work really well from this angle.

I will definitely make the grass less saturated, since it really is screwing up the composition, which like you said, is no good.

That wavy part is suppossed to be more like a silk cloth, but I was editing the texture using the node wranger addon's preview mode and forgot to change it back before rendering, so right now it has an awful looking emission shader. Hopefully after fixing the shader and editing the geometry it'll look more like it was intended.

Thanks again, and quadruple thanks for writing such a useful and lengthy comment :)

I'm in love with the textures. Don't blame me, I just really like wet-looking materials.

Thank You! All of the textures were procedural although I think in some places they could be a bit more subtle.

That is looking amazing! Although the grass is kind of distracting. Like my eyes are pulled to the bright green color. It would be nice if it the grass was more subtle. Have you heard of sheepit render farm?

Thank You! I can very easily see what you mean with the grass there, thank you for the feedback, Ill definitely have to work on the grass, composition-wise.

I have not heard of the sheepit render farm, I did some reasearch and its very interesting, but as I understand in order to render with it you need to allow it to use your computer afterwords right?

Yeah, sheepit works with a point based system. You get points for rendering other peoples projects and the more points you have, the higher priority your renders get. You can render other people's stuff any time you want. It works well for me although it does have some problems. There is no support for external python scripts (no rigify) and the single image rendering has no compositor support. My last project fav.me/d98j4by rendered with sheepit in 1h52ms vs an eta of about 14 hours on just my gpu. I have about 600k points though.

Aside from that mid left shader, I figured this was the final version!  It's come a LONG ways since the first WIP.
Whats Renderstreet?

It has come a long way since the first version, especially since the very very very first version stored only on my computer.

Renderstreet is proffessional render farm, to find all about it go here: render.st/

I would say it is, its very stressfull sometimes trying to get things to render on my laptop, there is a free 25 dollar sign up bonus, and most renders don't cost more than a couple bucks so try it out.

Its very professional and their computers are very fast.

Hmm I may have to once I really start animating.  45 min for a good render here (Although I'm thinking about farming off the university's computers on one of those days they aren't using the lab :D)
