Airplane [WIP 2]- Cockpit! by Shastro Airplane [WIP 2]- Cockpit! by Shastro
Hey guys! How's your day been? I've just been sitting here messing around in Blender and Now I get to show you the cockpit so far! It still has some kinks, and overall seems a little too metallic and I'm still not sure about that glowing thing down my the joystick, but I am very happy with the Leather Shader, and through this process I have learned alot!

Made With Blender, and Photoshop

also the light with the letters next to it say "Idiot Light" not "Do It Light" The "I" gets kinda covered by the Highlight

Don't Mind the Pixelation/ Fireflies because these are rendered at low quality

Changes Since Previous Version:
-
Created loads of New Shaders, Namely Leather, Metal, and a special shader called "Overburn" which cannot be created in real life (its the glowing lights inside the guages)
- Created Tons of New Models by Myself for once, without Tutorials (Huge deal for me) and Added "Start Engine" and "Self Destruct Buttons"
- Changed Loops on Various Objects and Manually added variation to all the switches, buttons, and lights
- Added Rivets along the exterior of the Plane!
- Loads of Other Things

Plans for Next Version:
-
Possibly add more to the Cockpit (such as actual numbers inside the guages, and more detail)
- Add more to the Metal Shader (Bump mapps, scratches.etc)
- Fix remaining problems with exterior paint
- Maybe add foot pedals?
- Other stuff that I can't remember at the moment :P
- Still gotta model the guns and figure out how in the heck I'm gonna pull of the plan I got for it ;_;
- Gotta add a little pony Bobble Head or Character Hanging by a string :)

Render Information:
-
Took about 45 mins to an hour for each of the two images, both at only 150 samples, on an i7

Other Information:
-
The Self-Destruct Button only works if the switch below is turned on, It was added by the designers for gags, but they soon realized that without a failsafe the potential for lawsuits were very high
- Red Lights are bad :P

Hope You Enjoy! and as always don't forget to STAY SO FRIGGIN AWESOME!!!!! (Seriously... don't)

You were right this leather it looks good, I'd have to try and find my shader but something that really helps sell it is use a mix shader and take the input of the bump map lowspots as a controller to have them be more diffused and lighter and the raised areas how they are. As for polygons this is still spectacular!

I'm just blown away by the complexity of this. The amount of detail here is just amazing!

Again, the differing textures here really bring it together. I'm able to tell that the seat, grip, and trim here are leather and that the other pieces are clearly metal and plastic, which is something that I've seen many modelers fail to attempt. In addition to the different textures, everything looks very well placed; nothing that would get in the way of the pilot or hinder movement in any way.

You've done a great job with this, and I really love how this model is turning out.

Thanks Again Destro! I can only imagine the detail it would take to create a real life airplane cockpit :)

Even So its still not quite done yet! Probably gonna add a pony bobble head or something similar!

Thanks Again!, and I'm starting to really like how this model is turning out as well, since it is my first.

(Although I just noticed, I misspelled the "idiot" in Idiot light on the console ;_; Gotta fix that)
