A E S T H E T I C by Shastro A E S T H E T I C by Shastro
A friend of mine asked me to make something vaporwavey, so I threw this together in about an hour or so after looking up some references online.

Its a fun style to mess with that reminds me of the old alien movie computer monitors. You might see more of this kind of thing in the future, because I had alot of fun with it!

Stay Awesome

GLORIOUS
I have been head over heals in love with the whole vaporwave/80's neon aesthetic for the past year, so this was a welcomed surprise.
The lighting that neon ribbon casts just makes this all come together beautifully. This looks incredible; fantastic as usual, Shastro!

Heh, the purple strips were made using a bezier curve with the extrude setting turned up, and a purple emission shader, the glow effect was made using the compositor's glare node, and the "retro fuzziness" was done in photoshop.

Have fun with purple strips XD

Simplistic in modeling, but really cool in combination! (I might have to try that some time). So I'd the blue wireframe a surface with then a wireframe added on top of it with the blue material?

:D You should try it is not super difficult and its fun to mess with the post processing. The wireframe was made via the freestyle NPR stuff, using the edge mark tool under Shift+E, and all the other line drawing settings disabled except for edge mark.

It was interesting not using an HDRI for any of the lighting for once.
