I found no category for "heightmaps" so here it goes, conceptually most similar to "wireframe" except it's bitmap, not vector. If you find any use for that, feel free to do so - releasing as Creative Commons. That's how -my- work actually looks like (as opposed to Impala 400's which makes the reliefs). Made with The Gimp and HCAM (for 3D preview). Lotsa airbrush, a pinch of transparency and some blur.
