[Elnin] Pomu Pandemonium (Hark)
Hark had decided that they would ride the Ahza River all the way down from Weldwick to Devara. It was definitely more preferrable this way, opposed to traveling through the stormlands and through the desert that took up half of the region. The passage was on a small fishernin ship so Hark had to pull their weight for the ride. However, no one expected a kittom to do much but they did request help from time to time with some of the more menial tasks such as moping the deck.
Amber eyes looked across the deck of the ship as they splashed the mop around in the bucket and began to swing the mop back and forth across the deck. They were using quite a bit of water that their shoal tail started to get wet, becoming weighed down by the water that was soaking into the fur. Before they knew it, their tail was practically dragging on the floor.
Hark didn't notice though. Hark was busy looking across the river's glimmering surface and to the sparkling sand in the distance. It was an interesting

The sun was barely on the horizon, a glimmer of golden light but a sliver against the sand dunes in the distance. It was early in the morning, a time before the blazing heat of the desert crashed down upon everynin like a river of lava. The cool breeze swept in from the river brought in a surprising chill. What would have been a dream come true during the day caused the grey and white kittom to shiver slightly, their shoal tail swishing back and forth in an attempt to generate heat.
Hark would have preferred to sleep in but the early morning temperatures of the desert were much more pleasant than the afternoon temperatures. They had discovered the joy of afternoon sleeping, passing the sun by with a dream or two! It made getting up early easier, and Hark decided to spend some time today exploring the dunes outside of the village.
Geared up with a small saddlebag, Hark made their way out into the rising sun. The sand around their paws tickled their toe beans slightly as they walked.

The days all seemed to be blending into each other lately, and Hark felt themselves rolling around in the sand with muffled groans as they rolled to and fro with a strikingly lethargic undertone. The desert was so hot, and most of their days seemed to be spent in a constant siesta until the weather cooled down. The Ahza River was nearby, and swimming was a popular afternoon activity, but sometimes Hark didn't want to spend hours afterward picking sand out of their fur! Maybe there would be less sand in their fur if Hark spent less time rolling around in the dunes, but that was for logical elnin... not kittoms! The desert sun was setting ove...

The stifling air of the miasma had finally lifted from the region, and with it, the world seemed to liven. The hot air that dampened the desert seemed to be clearer than ever, the sand shimmered like stars in the sky, and the water of the river seemed to sparkle like a freshwater stream in Faerindell. The grey and white kittom named Hark stood tall on their hind legs at the riverside village, puffing their shoulders back and taking in a deep breath. Surrounding the kittom were busy elnin preparing for a productive season of fishing and glass making, and amber eyes followed the adult elnin around curiously. As a kittom, no one expected Hark ...

[Elnin] Expressions of Affection (Hark)
The sun was beating down on Hark with such an intensity that the small, grey striped kittom moaned with exhaustion as they flopped onto the ground with a hopeless acceptance of fate. The weather in Ahza was such a drastic change compared to their homeland of Faerindell that the kittom was at odds with the situation. The ground was hot... The air was hot... Everything was hot! They had dreamed of coming to Ahza but a part of them really missed Faerindell.Well, it seemed more that they missed someone in Faerindell.Hark rolled over, the sand embedding itself into the kittom's fur as they tossed and turned. Hark really missed their little brot...
