No, not a "spot the differences" (¬_¬) Just the color！I was in difficulty of make decision, but the publisher picked the left one.
Which do you prefer, the left one or the right one •́ω•̀?

But I can see why the publisher went with the left - the color of the heroine's outfit is more attention-getting, some of the smaller fireballs are the same shade as her dress, and the background/sky appears to be "richer" and stormier. Always a grab visually. The right image has more subdued, and even peaceful colors. Green/teal/light blue = soothing. Lavender/shades of red = more energizing. And "energizing" equates with "noticeable" and "book selling."
Just my humble thoughts as a former editor.
The right one's background seems like close level value to the main subject ^_^.
Either of them is Amazing so dont worry ^_^
