Just a play with color...

Starting with aqua, sliding up the scale to purple, bouncing straight across to green, sliding up to yellow then back to green, bouncing back across to purple, sliding down to aqua and then back to purple, bouncing straight across to green.....you get the idea, lol....

Thanks fer peekin' and comments always appreciated!

You know...you've just made my day. That is exactly my intention when I work on a piece....trying to make it interesting enough that the viewer wants to spend time looking. And to hear you put that thought into words lets me know my art is working.

Thank you very, very much.

Fantastic texture, and I love the construction of the spiral fractal out of those lovely-colored wisps. This is a masterpiece.

I used to see stuff by Dan and Mark using this type of coloring and I became obsessed with learning how so I spent about a week going through the list database looking for examples, then studying params to see how it worked. After a week of pulling my hair out, I ran across Toby's iterated coloring tut...he showed how to do it on about 3 minutes, Grrrrrr..............

Yeah, I learned it from doing Mary Thorton's (FireLilyFractals) tutorials on her website. I've gone through similar things with Apophysis and UF, too.

I love this colour! How'd you get this kind of colouring? Carlson?

Coloring is done with the coloring mode of the ucl set to Iteration. I also used very thin-gradient iteration masks to get individual texturing on the individual segments of the spiral.

Extraordinary background! I think it really "makes" this picture... You've done a great job of breaking the mosaic surface with the pillow-type squares, slight color shifts, shadows, and 3d effect on the right side.

Thank you ma'am. Was wondering if anyone would notice the background had cool and warm colors, lol...
