Superior and Duluth Last Saturday morning my friend and I packed up her car and headed north on highway 53 towards Superior, WI.  The drive up was beautiful; perfect weather and great scenery.  Our first stop was Amnicon State park (had a little picnic before the hike).  It hasn't been raining a lot of the falls were beautiful none the less.  I would guess we hiked about two and a half miles of trail.  The trails aren't marked but if you stay close to the water you won't get lost. We stopped at Mocassin Mike area (the beach). Next stop was Pattison State Park.  When the wind blew right you could smell the pine.  Bring your hiking shoes if you go; very steep inclines.  This waterfall did have a roar unlike the first. After our hikes we checked into our hotel to clean up and dressed for a nice dinner.  We drove into Duluth and it was a nightmare; road construction everywhere.  Finally made it to The Boat Club.  Fitgers in a repurposed old building the restaurant is located in.  Did walk along the lake before heading back to Superior. We went to Barkers Island for a quick walk before sundown.  Next morning was an early start; navigating the construction in Duluth to get on Highway 61 north.  Saw a deer on the way (narrowly avoiding hitting it) and got to Gooseberry Falls. The park was beautiful but we did actually go off track (oops). The trails aren't marked like they are at Beaver Creek. After some beautiful vistas and educating guessing we made it back to the car. Our last stop was Two Harbors, Minnesota. A very nice local tour guide recommended we check out the lighthouse and we weren't disappointed. Took some pictures, toured the lighthouse, and visited the gift shop. If you visit there try the Vanilla Bean Cafe, great place. We got back on the road home and ultimately back to reality. If situations allow we'll be back next summer, we had a great time.

A Part of Me is Dead

0 min read
In or around 1994 I started a long trolling career by getting on David Duke's message boards to pick fights with white nationalists.  Over the years that changed to Scientology, then a segment of the infosec community, Abbey Arthur the lady who faked cancer to rip off the WWE community, Dina Alborano who is responsible for starving 200 horses to death, and lastly JY.  There have been missteps over the years and I rightfully expected to be roasted for those mistakes.  On September 1st I turn 40.  I have roughly 30 years left in the workforce to earn for retirement.  I'm starting a small side business.  I'm moving
