So ECCC was fun but short due to my baby teething.  It felt weird not having a table there.  I will be going to Sakuracon though with my sister at the end of the month.

Pepper is now 10 and a half months old and am already starting to plan her first birthday.  She is crawling, pulling up and getting into everything. Also  I'm doing a a lot of cleaning so that she doesn't put various particles into her mouth.  She is becoming quite a handful but well worth it.  

Last week our family dog, Mercury,  passed away. He was old but it came as a surprise nevertheless. It's odd not seeing him at my parents when I come over.

In daily routine i am cooking more and trying to keep up with my arts.

I was looking for an excuse to get rid of my old text but I was holding tight to my vine-skin from my old membership.

A lot has happened to me since I last updated mid-last year. for those who not yet know, Mike and I are going to be having our first child. A little girl due at the end of April. I am quite excited but still have a lot to do to prepare. Finances being of course the biggest issue.  On the brighter side, we know a lot of people with good free or super-cheap resources.

As you have probably seen from pretty much all I have submitted this last month, is that my wonderful kitty, Scooby died Dec. 14th and It really put me in a confused and depressed loop. Even though it still chokes me up every day I feel I'm getting better at moving on and becoming productive again.

I have been attempting to go fully into my self-employed at home work ethic but as everyone knows that can be tough and unpredictable.  
I would really prefer getting to work while taking care of my little girl rather than sending her to a daycare.  So far I have gotten some pretty good commissions and freelance although usually its not the artistic work that pays very good.  I've gotten most my profit setting up newsletters and doing website data entry work.  Working at print shops for the past 5 years really helped me know proper layout for print and online.

For those who may be curious, I am back on the Y!Gallery! My love is more evenly spread there than here.  One can actually feel more like a big fish in a small pond.  I feel that I can't even make it to the surface here sadly.  I'll keep trying though... yaoi.y-gallery.net/user/sshady…

So far this year I have been really slacking on updating my Deviantart account and for that I'm sorry.  I have been focusing on comic pages for my new series: Unexplained Circumstances which is a vampire mystery staring my Vincent with Lucas, Fargo & Sunshine as backup. I will post these when they have text but I'm finishing the coloring first.  I should have a couple pictures posted here soon though '

If anyone is interested I am going to start selling web ad-space on my Psychedelic Circumstances site for $10 a year. This would be for a 230 x 70 space (see examples on my site) and I would work out offers for anything bigger than that. Just let me know!

Besides going though two months of hell at work and having issues with my taxes, I was having a fine time I suppose.
But now I am in quite some shock...
My 8 yr old niece's father is a murderer...
(my significant others, sisters ex-bf)
He stabbed & killed his father, trying to kill his mother and his 13 yr old niece..He inflicted himself with multiple stab wounds before running away and was found bleeding in a neighbors yard.
I have had multiple conversations with this guy; this murderer. Of course I would have never figured. It's hard to imagine anyone going through such violent trauma.  I have meet his parents too.  They have supported him even though his meth problems. Only when he stopped taking his medication for schizophrenia and was going on religious rants did they feel that they had to kick him out of their home.  One month later and you can read in the Bellingham news on his retaliation...

There are a lot of people in my thoughts right now.  I bet they can't wait for the new year..

For those who do not know, I and my comic partner, Stick will have a booth this coming convention, March 13-14 and will be premiering our first comics (now in print) for sale.  I truly would love to see anyone who could possibly make it there. Let me know.
