Willy was currently washing as Chrom came out, just as Gaius did a flawless dive into the Exalt's closet. Chrom sighed and ran a hand through his dark blue hair.
"Gods, why can the fish pee in the lake but the Exalt can't? So frustrating..." He mumbled to himself, he then perked up a little. "...Uhm, perhaps all the excitement demands a stop to the relief chambers. I may have drank a little too much during tonight's festivities." He turned to the room he had just left, but then stopped, remembering the servant's presence in there. With little time to think, Chrom gulped and looked around, seeing the lake outside the window.
Chrom laid on one of the cots at the police station, staring up at the ceiling. Ever since the incident with Emmeryn, everyone was in agreement that pretty much living at the station would be best until Gangly G was taken care of. But right now, countless things were running through Chrom's mind. Who was Marth? What is Grima? Can anything be done about all of this? He sighed, getting off his cot and walking over towards the window. He closed his eyes and listened to the sounds of cars and construction off in the distance. It seemed a lot less obnoxious in the calmness of late night.
"Chrom." A familiar voice said, as Robin approached him fro
"Saizo?" Kaze asked, slowly walking through their home. "Saizo, please come talk to me. I haven't seen you all day, and you try and sneak back in at the middle of the night..?" Kaze stopped in his tracks when he felt something wet against his bare foot. Kneeling down, he touched his fingers against a small splatter on the floor. Despite the late hour and the only light in the brother's home being that of the moon, Kaze could still tell it was blood. "...Oh, Saizo... My brother..." Kaze continued to follow the trail of blood.
He soon came to one of the small home's paper doors. Kaze placed his hand on it and slid it open. A small candle was l
Chrom put the peddle to the metal as the siren on his police car blared. Other traffic pulled over and yielded, allowing him to pass. Robin was listening in on a radio, getting info they would need. Chrom did a sharp turn and sped towards the hostage situation.
"Give me the downlow, Robin." He said, turning again. Olivia and Lon'qu were in the backseat, confused as to what was going on.
"A young girl named Maribelle was taken from her home." Robin said, listening to his radio and getting more details. "Gangly G claims it was the opposite. She came onto their 'turf' and starting trying to cause trouble. Maribelle's parents are also huge fina
"Boss isn't letting you in. Sorry." Lon'qu said, crossing his arms as he came out from the back room of the pub. "I tried explaining but he doesn't want to hear it." Chrom and Robin sighed with disappointment. Chrom sat down at a bar stool, running a hand through his dark blue hair.
"Well that's... Disappointing. We really needed what he would know about Grima and the Plegian Gang." As Chrom talked, the bartender turned her attention to them slightly, listening in.
"We may need to try and find another source." Robin advised. "I don't see Basilio leaving his position any time soon."
"Actually..." The barkeep spoke up. "...I know a way to ge
"Chrom, where exactly are we going to? We aren't really on duty now. We should be getting rest." Robin said, seated in the passenger seat of Chrom's police car. Now in the official Shepherds Police Department uniform, Robin was a full member of the team.
"We need some information and a little more enforcement." Chrom answered as they went into the darker part of New Ylisse. Neon signs for all sorts of clubs and bars were up all around the place. "The place we're going to is named 'The Feroxi Pub'. The two who run it, Basilio and Flavia, were on the police force a long time ago." Chrom took a deep breath and relaxed his shoulders. "My father,
"Wait out here." Chrom said to his companions. Robin, Frederick, and Lissa all nodded. "I have to explain this new issue, and ask for more funds... Gods... If I don't return in ten minutes, drive off without me." Chrom got out of the driver's seat and took a deep breath, starting up the stairs to the town hall. After making his way through the building, he stopped at a mahogany door and knocked a few times.
Chrom opened the door and took off his sunglasses, walking down the office and up to the mayor's desk. There was a framed picture of Chrom and Lissa as children with an older girl, along with neatly organized pens and pencils,
"Chrom... We have to do something."
"What do you propose we do?"
"I... I dunno!"
"I see you're awake now."
"There're better places to take a nap than on the ground, you know. Give me you hand."
Robin's eyes slowly opened and focused on the two voices who were talking. They were both in police uniforms. The girl had medical supplies and the male had some kind of custom pistol holstered at his side. He must have been Chrom, and the girl was Lissa. Robin reached out and took Chrom's hand, getting helped upright. Chrom smiled warmly, his eyes slightly visible behind the dark tint of the aviator sunglasses he was wearing.
Chrom slammed behind a car for cover, a few bullets riveting off the hood of the vehicle he was hiding behind. He reached to his waist and drew a radio, putting it up to his mouth and saying a few words. Robin soon came into cover beside him, lowering a little to not get shot. Chrom noticed Robin appear. He smirked, patting Robin on the shoulder.
"This is it," He started. "Our final bust. You're one of us now, Robin. And no 'Fate' can change that." Chrom placed a hand at the holster on his waist, drawing an ornate pistol. The name 'Falchion' was expertly carved onto the side. Chrom cocked the head of it and nodded to Robin, ready to shoot.
"Never gonna catch me, Leo!" Kamui giggled, her bare feet hitting against the castle's floors as she ran down the halls. She turned a corner too sharp and slipped on her side, bumping against a wall. She scurried back up and kept running and laughing. Leo was a ways behind, keeping a leisurely jog since he didn't want to get too into playing the Nohrian game "Predator".
"Uuuuuuugh," Leo started with disgust, "When you invited me to play a game, I thought you meant grown up games... Like chess. Predator is for children. And don't even point out that I'm the younger brother!' He wagged his finger angrily. Really Leo was being rather sour becau
