In my webcomic Jake & Leon I decided to create a comic within a comic called Herodude & Enemies. In the storyline "Webcomic" I showed Jake and his art buddy Max struggling to create characters and concepts for the comic. As part of this year's Art Soundoff run by Jerzy Drozd and Rob Stenzinger I put together a piece featuring the two while discussing their history. I'll link to it when it goes live. After the holidays I'll start working on the first Herodude storyline and see what if any reaction I get to it on my site. I also plan to upload the 300+ Jake & Leon comics I created up here as an extra showplace although it will go live at bwspotlight.com first, after the Patreon posting.
I think I chose the wrong color for Herodude's glowing hands. I used a marker to make it stand out from the colored pencils. Done right it can create a nice otherworldly energy effect and I like playing with energy. It's one of the advantages of digital coloring but I ultimately decided to do this piece all on paper to try out the card stock paper I happen to have a lot of compared to the Bristol. And his lower legs are too short (or maybe the upper legs are too long?) but otherwise I'm pretty happy how this came out.
