An illustration for Powerless, chapter 4 of my story about my Young Adults Alternate Universe. This scene thakes place in the forest nearby Newport, where Sonic and the gang live in my universe. And this the scene where Shadow asks Amy to be his girlfriend.
This was started in PSE7, but I finished it in PSE15. I still have to get used to the program. Something I really dislike is the fact that they removed the font that I always use for my signature.
I just copied it from another drawing now
The lighting was a challenge here. As well as drawing the tree. I used a picture as a reference for studying the tree. I really have to save the url when I do that, because I want to credit the one whose photo it is, but I honestly forgot to do that. So: sorry!
Funny fact: I drew those flowers even though in the story it's august when they start dating, so there are not supposed to be flowers hehe.
I am trying to learn to draw more dynamic poses (this isn't one of them
), improve my shading and create more depth in my pictures. Let's see where I end up.

I experience spring in August, so I didn't notice any problem with the flowers! 😋
This is another amazing pic: you can almost hear the chirping of birds and the rustle of the wind through the grass. Such a romantic setting to mark the official beginning of a relationship. One day, maybe they'll be able to bring their kids and say "this is where it all started"....
