The Nutcracker by shadowfire-x The Nutcracker by shadowfire-x
Another female Northern Cardinal, this one shot through the window. They've been absolutely flocking to the bridseed.

How cute! I've been so disappointed this year - hardly any birds at the feeders. Must be someone else in the neighborhood has "finer dining" for the birds and are getting all of them!

Our birds here are absolutely desperate. There's been a great deal of snow on the ground for weeks now, and it's been getting brutally cold. I even had a Harris's Sparrow visit the feeders, and they usually stick to the woods.

I havn't seen a Harris's Sparrow for a long time. Rather a rarity around here. Do you have the Peterson Field Guide for Birds for the computer? I love that.

Not for the computer, but I do have about 6 bird field guide books. Cornell Lab of Ornithology has a really good online guide, and WhatBird is really good as well.
