I actually just gently set him down like that, and she sort of stayed that way for a couple minutes before slithering away. I was kind of surprised by how cooperative she was.

Ish pretty but I think you must be pretty brave.. Snakes have been one of my many childhood fears o-o.
Yaz they can be pretty, but I don't think I can ever be brave enough to handle one xD()...
I can barely handle a bunny.... Kitties are more dangerous but..well they don't panic when you pick them up if they're tamed so... shifty eyes.. xD
Anyway regardless... this is very very pretty o-o Blah it must have taken you forever to kind of take this shot x-x
How do you make it look so neat!? XD!

Heehee.. Ring-necked snakes are quite tiny, and very placid =3. I've only had a couple rambunctious ones try to bite me, and, their teeth are so small they can't manage any harm to a human. This one, I handled it a few moments so it would calm down, then set it on the ground, and it stayed like that.. XD

I love that red tail. X3 Really great shot of him, seeing his pretty belly and all. You're so lucky you have all those snakes around. Great picture, too!

The first thing my brothers said to me upon returning home from college was,"Look at this snake we found!" It just so happened to be a ring=necked snake. =D I looked at it, picked it up and examined it, and then told my brothers they'd have to release it soon. Well, needless to say, they didn't, so I released it earlier today.

This one you've found is quite the pretty little thing, though I daresay it doesn't look as little as the baby we found. Beautiful shot you got, too, of its belly.

Thank you! I had to handle it (gently) for a bit before it calmed down enough to hold still when I put it down.

I loved the one we caught. He was such a good little snake...kept curling around my fingers. Gah, it sucks that I couldn't keep him but I know better than to try to keep a wild snake captive...
