Merry Christmas Friends

I just wanted to thank all of you for your wonderful greetings, faves, watches and features. I wish all that celebrate Christmas a wonderful time filled with friends and family. Happy holidays to everyone, no matter what you celebrate.

It will be a quite time for my husband and myself this year. Because of the weather and other commitments we are staying in our own home this year. Most of our family live over a thousand miles away. I am still trying to catch up with my messages because my daughter came earlier in the week. We also had our granddaughter who kept us very busy. She stayed longer than we had expected, which gave us great pleasure. I consider myself to be very young at heart, but here is just something special about having a small child in the house at Christmas time. They have both returned home, so our house is quiet now. The gifts are all wrapped and the cookies made. I am sitting down now for a breather before we go to the evening candle light service at church.

I know our world is filled with turmoil, but in many places Christmas eve seems to me to be a magical time. I pray for you all the joy and peace this season brings. I would be remiss if I didn't share the message of what Christmas really means to me. It is a time to remember that God does not stand in his lofty heaven looking down without care. He loves us and sent the best present He could have ever given us, his blessed son. All though I know it is wishful thinking at best I also pray that all my friends would listen in the stillness of the night and take into your heart at least a little of the Christ of Christmas means to those of us who believe.
