How Should You Structure Your Suggestion?
It's easy:
Put "DD Suggestion" in the subject line.
Include only one deviation per note.
Include a thumb to the suggested deviation AS WELL AS a reason why the deviant/deviation should be featured. Feel free to go overboard here--I'd love to quote your reasons.
Let me know that you've checked to make sure the deviant hasn't received a DD in the last 6 months. ()
Send your suggestion to only ONE of the Literature CVs.
What Should You Suggest?
1) Poetry!
I love poetry more than prose, so I'd overwhelmingly prefer to receive poetry suggestions. In poetry, I look for concrete, specific language (seriously, read that awesome article). I enjoy both free verse and form poetry. I'd especially love to feature recent works by active deviants who don't already have many followers, but I am more interested in featuring quality than increasing a deviant's exposure.
Things I like: humor, truth, evocative language, elegant use of form, happy poems, everyday objects and events as the subject of poetry, and anything that makes me go "wow, I wish I'd thought of that".
Things I dislike: tiny font size (it doesn't make writing more dramatic), heavy use of first person (unless there is good characterization of the narrator), readymade phrases, haiku, the word "upon", emo, and vague language.

2) Prose
First off, I'd like you to send prose suggestions to a more prose-focused CV: inknalcohol (guidelines here) or (temporarily) SingingFlames (guidelines here). However, if there's something you'd think I'd be more inclined to feature, feel free to send it my way. I'm partial to Alphabet Soup themes (LGBT*QQAASDGLKASDAOSUCHALKCNASKETC) and non-derivative fantasy/sci-fi, but I enjoy many types of prose. I will not feature typo- and error-ridden prose.
Things I like: humor, truth, extended metaphor, developed characterization, subtlety, and anything that makes me go "wow, I wish I'd written that".
Things I dislike: tiny font size, clichéd fantasy, a series of one-line paragraphs, bad formatting, poor sentence structure variation, one-dimensional characters, and readymade phrases.
You can find all the deviations I've featured here. I will most likely not respond to every suggestion, but I'll try to let you know if I've chosen to feature a deviation you suggested.
NOTE: I cannot feature fan fiction (nor will I feature fan fiction miscategorized in the Literature gallery). If you would like to see a piece of fan fiction featured, the CV who can do that is SingingFlames (guidelines here, and she's temporarily accepting Literature pieces as well).
