    Kent gave him a tired grin. “Think I got these scars for fun?” he asked wryly, indicating each in turn.
    Silver couldn’t believe what he was hearing. If Ace had given Kent those scars, and had nearly killed him, why was Kent even near Ace? Forget being Ace’s right hand man and answering only to the ginger haired Rageryan. Kent in the same vicinity and room was beyond Silver’s comprehension. He didn’t know much about psychology, but he did know what Stockholm syndrome was.
    “B-But… you live with him! You’re his second in command!”
    “Really? I wasn’t aware,” Kent muttered, rolling his eyes.
     “Isn’t… isn’t that Stockholm syndrome?” Silver gasped.

    Silver nearly jumped out of his skin at the deep growl. The Rageryan had addressed him without turning around. “How did you-”
    “Heightened 6th sense. I can tell when someone is looking at me. You’re the only one in the room.”
    “Oh. Er… um… can I ask you a question?” Silver stammered.
    Ace turned around so he faced Silver. His face was unreadable, but Silver thought he could see the slightest hint of hesitation in the Rageryan’s blue depths. “Sure,” was the short reply.

    Silver thought back, and nodded. Francis wasn’t liked by the government that much due to his radical ideals and odd fascination with cannabis, and Ed, whom Silver knew better as Sparky due to his pyromaniac tendencies and multiple cases of arson, was a bit on the crazy side. How could Silver forget them? They were his two favorite uncles. Until they disappeared that is, along with his mother and her brother, Mountain Echo. All in the span of a day. “Yes… did he get them?”

MoP Ch. 23 ~A Familiar Face~    Uncertainty churned Silver’s stomach as he followed Scarlett towards the monitor. They were calling in Ace, a man known for his savage temper and unpredictability. But that was only him on the surface. Silver had no idea what he was truly like when he wasn’t tearing someone apart. He turned to Rex, who had come to stand beside him, and tugged on his arm. “Er... Rex?”
    Rex looked down at him, amber eyes hard. “Yes?” he huffed, ears flat.
    Silver gulped. “Is Ace a mean guy? Like, what is he like personality wise? I mean... I’ve heard the rumors and all-”
    “And they are just rumors,” Scarlett interjected without turning around.
     Rex glared in her direction. “Rumors are founded in truth, kid,” he growled, lashing his bristling tail once.
