Thanks. I had to take a long break from Blender because I hit a wall and returned with a better perspective, and more patience.

Sailor Moon (1 of 4) (Smile) (NOT AI Generated)

I never paid attention to poly counts. I don't even know what my poly counts are, but I did model everything "low poly" (visually)  in mind and just used subserf to smooth it out.

I think the only real benefit to high poly is if you're going to sculpt details. But for the most part, using creases and loop cuts in specific areas of a low poly model is good enough to produce similar high poly results.

Mass Effect is also an inspiration.

It looks good. I don't see anything to be concerned about with the design of that. It looks like it could have been in the Phantasy Star series, which is a mix of sci-fi/fantasy in design. Maybe even a bit of Skies of Arcadia. You should definitely focus on this kind of design going forward.

Thanks. I wanted a kind of classic "Starfleet" look but with changes of course, such as with jackets and uniforms that are "wearable technology."
