Seal Pup Wave

Grey seal pup on the Isle of May breeding colony, playing with it's flippers. This is my study species and it's always a privilege to get to see and spend time with them every year ^-^

PLEASE DO NOT APPROACH BREEDING SEALS! This photo was taken during a routine research survey of the breeding colony, all of our research team has years of training and experience to help us do our work with minimal disturbance to the seals. Please do not attempt to sneak up to seals as you will likely seriously disturb the mothers and pups, which can result in abandonment and death for the pup.
