Cosplay test 1: wig

...Okay. I hate that this wig looks like shit. But it's the closest I'm ever going to get to Nick's hair. Plus maybe with a bit of hairgel and/or hairspray and/or my mom's help (because I don't know anything at all about doing this properly)... it could look remotely okay. (Name of the wig is 'Ridge' because it's meant to look like the hairstyle of Ridge from 'The Bold and the Beautiful' I think. I don't like that guy one bit. But it's reasonably decent at any rate, and it didn't cost me a fortune)

Meant for a L4D2 cosplay - of Nick, naturally.

I think I pull it off reasonably well despite all that excess facial flab

I usually look like this:

Niiick! Hahaha I like it! Also reminds me of the fact that Curse and I still have to maybe look into getting wigs too, haha. XD
I like it so far! :D

...Think I should leave it as-is or think I should gel/hairspray it back? Because the wig has a bit of issues covering my hair if I push the fringe back apparently...

Hmm, I dunno. I haven't really had much experience with wigs. What kind of trouble is it giving you?

...I have too much hair. Obviously I have to shave off part of the hair on the back of my head, but then there's my forehead. If I gel the hair back (which is possible, I asked the guy in the store I bought it) I risk either the cap the hair's sewn on showing or my natural hairline showing. :shakefist: damn troublesome wig!

I could gel some hair back and leave a few locks to hide the cap/my hairline...

Hmm. Maybe you could get a hair net and then put the wig on over that? Or maybe instead of gelling some of the hair in the front of the wig you could pin it back with bobby pins or something? I really don't know much about wigs, but I know what you mean you say they can be troublesome, haha.

:XD: I already have a hairnet. Still too much hair down the back of my neck . But not to worry, my hair's about a foot long so no harm in losing a bit here and there...

As for the bobby pins, nah, that'd be noticeable. But maybe I can tuck some of the hair at the front underneath the wig cap so that the cap's hidden and gel the rest of the hair back. But I'll ask my mom, she knows stuff. And if my mom can't help, she'll surely know someone who can ^_~

Saw a white suit on an ad somewhere today and squealed. Then I noticed the price (250€) and I was 'what? That is soooooo damn much!'... :iconsadnessplz:

I think that will be workable!

I'm slowly starting to think that it is, too. Especially after seeing a guy with light brown and decidedly bowl-cut style hair cosplaying Nick. My wig might not look like Nick's hair much, but it'll still be great! Plus my mom might know a bit about how to tweak the wig here and there. :D

Hair gel or hairspray could also help alot
