OK. The problem with .psd files that they are extremely big. Especially if extra layers have been included, which I'd like to do so that you can separate elements and use the ones you like (eg: just the wings and not the whole "angel" image). I normally zip the .psd file anyway, so zipping separate .png files isn't a problem. The problem is separating a multi-pass render into .png files. As each layer (one of the base image (defuse), one for the shadows, etc) has it's own "settings" to make the whole image work. Oh well, I'll figure it out.
