Cross my heart in dreams at night,
Feel the warmth within despite
The unsure path on which I tread,
I almost wish for cold instead.
The feeling that I find within
Cannot be said, for words are thin,
Some call it cute, and others nice,
As warm as fire and cold as ice.
Never just one and always more,
Are those to push ajar the door
To feelings found inside us all,
To them, must we finally ‘fall’.
Now I begin to look afar
And when I feel I've gone too far,
I push upon the unseen screen -
And fall into an unknown scene.
My senses gone into a dream,
I feel my fancy reign supreme.
A dragon's roar, a gryphon's cry,
The frosty hue of winter sky,
A shadow spread, an armoured knight,
A scream to leave a child in fright.
I pass beyond this varied world
And wonder where I'll next be hurled.
I land again upon my feet
And blink away the falling sleet -
The snow extends beyond my view,
Back to lands where I once grew.
I smile as I remember now:
"My home is here" I made my vow.
As I think this, I feel a quake:
This world I'm in i
An unsaid word,
A thought denied,
A quickened breath,
A feeling inside.
Prelude.
A welcomed joy,
A wish come true,
An unbidden smile,
A love it knew.
Prelude.
A passing time,
A murmur within,
An altered feeling,
An echoing grin.

A falling shadow,
A darkness brought,
A lingering sadness,
A sorrowing thought.
Prelude.
An awoken mind,
A story begins,
A dawning future,
A loss of all sins.

Hopes, Dreams, Tears, Fears by Shadara, literature

Hopes, Dreams, Tears, Fears
Every world may hold its fears,
Every love may shed its tears,
But when the tears are washed away,
Our dreams live on another day.
Every face may grow its seams,
Every heart may grip its dreams,
But every dream that comes awake,
Leaves one less seam in its wake.
Every mind may think its lies,
Every child may wail its cries,
But every lie that disappears,
Brings ten less cries in later years.
Every smile may hide its frown,
Every up may have its down,
But every dip that begins to rise,
May bring a smile as its prize.
Everyone has lost a dream,
Everyone has felt a scream.
Some amongst them find a hope,
The others sometimes fi
Shining like the brightest stars,
Living despite the deepest scars,
Hope spreads its silver wings,
And of lighter times it gladly sings,
Beyond the deep, the darkest times,
It lies behind these idle rhymes,
Perhaps one day its voice will stay,
And guide me through to light my way.
Laughing though I cry inside,
Feelings that I hold and hide,
Outside I may seem so free,
But that is just a part of me.
Others' hopes and dreams I hold,
Thoughts and wishes of which I'm told,
Helping others find their way,
Thankfulness is the greatest pay.
Loneliness is who I am,
Emotions bottled like a dam,
Now you know I'm really me,
My poems help to set me free.

The Lost and Found - Imagine
Fires, across the earth do roar,
Winds, through the air they soar,
The flames of war they ride them all,
Kingdoms rise and Empires fall.
Battles pass through day and night,
Leaving then their blasted sight,
Blood and wounds and death are one,
The past, the future, 'till all is done.
Roaming thus across the land:
Dealing death with open hand,
Bringing truth with blade of sword,
A quest into which my soul is poured.
Trapped inside a sightless cave,
Anger bursts as one big wave,
Love is lost as the eternal dark,
Malice, greed, they make their mark.
Crossing roads I never knew,
Planning all those battles through,
These are how I
Pain and suffering all inside,
For light is dark: I try to hide,
This dark within, it slowly creeps,
Beyond the me that never sleeps,
Outside the waking frame of mind,
A force that can make you blind,
Love is dust and all between,
But this is such it is not seen.
Blades that sang in past are still,
Warmth destroyed, leaving chill,
Blood spread across the land,
Life crushed in battle grand.
All left upon the rocky ground,
Are bones and death, but not a sound,
Nothing green, and nothing warm,
Just the silence, cold, forlorn.
A turning page, a growing vine,
New life comes with passing time,
From death and decay upon the heath,
The earth, the flesh, the fallen leaf.
With new life comes a dawning death,
The circle turning, a rattling breath,
But what of the life that begins anew?
For is life with death a life full true?
Pain and suffering all inside,
For light is dark: I try to hide,
This dark within, it slowly creeps,
Beyond the me that never sleeps,
Outside the waking frame of mind,
A force that can make you blind,
Love is dust and all between,
But this is such it is not seen.

Well, I guess since everyone else does some form of kiriban or another for hitting certain pageviews... I might just write a poem for whoever manages to catch my 500th pageview. I can't really draw you anything unfortunately, since I'm a really poor artist ;)
Beside that, nothing new on my end of things.
Well, that's most interesting... never really noticed that they were getting up to that mark.
On a similar note, thanks to all those that've looked at my stuff, though I more than welcome comments about my poems ;) *hint hint*
And thanks to Shadow for pointing out to me that I had those pageviews... trust you to notice dear ;)
*walks across your page leaving chocolate chip cookie crumbs everywhere* I know you.... the one who gave me such a fright when I came to visit.... but it was a nice fright indeed~~~~ *leaves you half eaten cookies and scurries away*
