Description

This one is special for me. The drawing was my very first visual concept I made for the main character of my Novel, Daylen, from Shadow of the Conqueror. People familiar with my book will notice that in the drawing he's not holding imperious, that's because I drew it before I had even designed his sword, same with some later details like the master's mark on his belt. So this drawing was made real early in the development of my story. Well he's holding Imperious now! Taking this first concept and finalising it in such detail is a real treat. It's my way of honouring this first concept, and that time in my life when I was just starting out on the long journey of writing my book, by finalising this drawing in the way I feel it deserves, in the highest quality I can manage. The final AI conversion is also one of the toughest enhancement projects I've completed so far, particularly because of the sword! It's one hell of a complex design for AI image generators to make and depict on an angle, and took more than a little technical kung-fu to get right. But DAMN I'm happy with the result. This is the most accurate depiction of imperious so far, specifically the crystal-like texture on the blade that is semi-translucent. I love Ai art!

Just finished re-listening to the book (Audible). Is there any plans for a sequel?
You have a great world, and a good setup for political intrigue with the backdrop of the ever looming threat of the shade.
Or a focus on the eternal battle with the shade with the constant aggravation of political bickering and backstabbing distracting from the real threat.

TTRPG module(s) would be a fun way to expand/explore the world as well!
