when starcraft came out I barely knew about tanks. But before Starcraft 2 came out I knew alot more. I Know that the "siege tank" is actually a terrible design worse than most modern tanks.

Modern tanks have 120mm guns, sometimes 125mm gun-launchers.

artillery frequently has 150-155mm cannons in turrets.

a modern tank could outrange, and overpower even a deployed Siege Tank.
