This is a very touching drawing. The facial expressions are very realistic. And the tension of this moment is cought very well.
Though I notice something on Davids face seems off to me. Its not the lines it self got wrong, it's more like something is missing or too much for me to recognize him immediately. I had to read the text to recognize him. I would have to see the original picture to potentionally pinpoint where the difference lies to me. As I know how hard it is sometimes, I guess its a really small issue. Maybe the contrast is to hard. I can't put my finger on it for now. If I get to see the scene again and notice I'll check back on you if you wish.
Anyway it's an amazing drawing.
I think I know now what it is. I have searched the scene on my dvd and watched it on hold a bit. I think it is his beard stubbles he seems to have been shaved quite well at your drawing - and (on my tv) the darker shade at the left of his Eye (from our point of view) has a slightly different form. more like a triangle yours is more like a square.
Thanks for your critique! Not sure what's up with David - shading, perhaps? Anyhow - thanks for taking the time to comment - it's very appreciated!
